WWE NXT (September 9, 2025): Women’s Speed title Tournament continues; Flag match; Sol Ruca, Ethan Page & Je'Von Evans in action & more set for next week

Candice LeRae has advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament!
As the road to NXT No Mercy continues, the developmental brand delivered the September 2 episode of WWE NXT, which emanated from the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida.
Multiple stars, including Obe Femi, Lash Legend, Ricky Saints, Jaida Parker, Candice LeRae, and Dion Lennox, among others, competed on the show. Lash Legend defeated Jaida Parker in the first match of the show, while Candice LeRae pinned Xia Brookside to advance in the WWE Women’s Speed Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament.
#DIY (Tomasso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) in their homecoming took out TNA World Champion Trick Williams. In a non-title match, Jordynne Grace defeated Evolve Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong. After the match, Blake Monroe came out, sparking a brawl with Grace that ended with blood pouring from Blake’s nose while she was trembling with rage.
Furthermore, Josh Briggs defeated Andre Chase. In the main event of the show, the team of Oba Femi, Ricky Saints, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger defeated DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Cutler James & Saquon Shugars) in an eight-man tag match, with a little help from Joe Hendry.
Ethan Page will battle Tavion Heights in a Flag match next week

Following their heated backstage segment about their respective country flags, Ethan Page and Travion Heights are now set to battle in a flag match next week.
The promotion has also announced a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title #1 Contenders Elimination match between Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx), The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley), and the team of Sol Ruca & Zaria. The winner will get a title shot in the future.
Following Candice LeRae’s win, the second match in the Women’s Speed title #1 Contender Tournament match, AAA’s Faby Apache will battle Lainey Reid. The winner of this match would face LeRae in the semi-finals.
Furthermore, Je’Von Evans and Josh Briggs will also lock horns next week, after their confrontation this week when Briggs interrupted Evans’ segment and chokeslammed him through a steel chair. Additionally, after the humiliation at the hands of #DIY, Trick Williams has announced that he will confront Ciampa and Gargano next week on NXT.
