A battle royal will determine the #1 Contender for the NXT Women’s title.
In the backdrop of NXT Showdown, which concluded last week, the development brand will now deliver the October 14 episode of WWE NXT from the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida. The show will feature the aftermath of TNA Invasion and will intensify the build towards Halloween Havoc.
Multiple stars, including Zaria, Blake Monroe, Lexis King, Josh Briggs, Matt Cardona, and AAA’s El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., are set for in-ring action on the show.
In the final moments of Showdown last week, NXT GM Ava and TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella held a meeting to discuss business. They agreed to hold a battle royal next week, featuring talent from both NXT and TNA.
The winner will earn a title match for the NXT Women’s Championship, currently held by Jacy Jayne, at Halloween Havoc.
Matt Cardona is set to make his return to a WWE ring when he competes on next week’s episode of NXT. Cardona will battle Josh Briggs in a singles match. Additionally, AAA’s Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. is also set for action next week as he will battle Lexis King in a singles match.
Additionally, after their interaction last week, Zaria will battle Blake Monroe in a singles match. Last week, Monroe tried to cause a rift between Sol Ruca and Zaria.
