The 01/28 show features two tag-team clashes

The 01/28 episode of WWE NXT will emanate live from the Center Stage Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The show will follow in the footsteps of Monday Night Raw which will take place a day earlier at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Multiple stars are slated to appear on the show including stars from the main roster as Bayley, Bianca Belair, and Naomi will be in action against the rising stars from the developmental brand.

The Stamford-based promotion has announced multiple matches and segments for the 01/28 show. Down below is a detailed match card, news, timings, and telecast details of this week’s episode of WWE NXT.

  • NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Fallon Henley (c) vs Shotzi
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Bianca Belair & Naomi (c) vs Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson of Meta-Four

NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Fallon Henley (c) vs Shotzi

NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley will defend her title against Shotzi in the Center Stage Theatre this week. The match was set following Shotzi’s victory over Stephanie Vaquer in the 01/14 episode in a No.1 contenders match.

The Champion Henley showed up during the match and attacked Vaquer with her title, which led to Shotzi winning the match.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Bianca Belair & Naomi (c) vs Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson of Meta-Four

The team of Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson defeated the team of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn ( The Unholy Union) in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match on the 01/14 episode.

They will now face the Women’s Tag Champion Bianca Belair and Noami on this week’s. The tag champs will grace the NXT ring for their second title defense.

Bayley & NXT Women’s Champion Giulia vs Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade

Former multi-time WWE Women’s World Champion Bayley is locked in a fierce feud with former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. Their confrontation last week on NXT which involved the NXT Women’s Champion Giulia and Cora Jade turned into a brawl.

Bayley and Giulia stood tall in the ring as Perez and Jade retreated, the two teams will now battle in this week’s episode to settle their differences.

Trick Williams vs Wes Lee

Former NXT Champion Trick Williams is set to lock horns with Wes Lee, the match was set up after Lee called out Williams on last week’s episode following his win over Dion Lennox.

The two stars were involved in a backstage segment where Lee teased Williams, who responded by slapping Lee across the face. Lee still had the handprint from the slap visible on his face during his clash with Dion Lennox the previous week.

Ethan Page vs Cedric Alexander

“All Ego” Ethan Page will square off against pro wrestling veteran Cedric Alexander in the 01/28 episode of the developmental brand.

This is a rematch from their earlier clash on the 12/31/24 episode of NXT where Page not only defeated Alexander but also attacked him after the match. Page used a toolbox to crush Alexander’s hand after the match.

The Grayson Waller Effect talk show

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller are set to host the “Grayson Waller Effect” talk show in Theory’s hometown Atlanta next week. The newly crowned NXT Champion Oba Femi is the special guest for the show.

  • In the United States, Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico the show can be watched live at 8 PM ET, 7 PM CT & 4 PM ET every Tuesday on the CW Network. 
  • In Canada, WWE NXT is aired live every Tuesday at 8 PM ET on Netflix & CW Network (available through Canadian providers).
  • In the United Kingdom & Ireland, the show is live at 1 AM every Wednesday exclusively on Netflix.
  • In India, WWE NXT will be aired live at 6.30 AM IST every Wednesday across Sony Sports Network (Sony Liv, Sony Ten 1, Sony Ten 1 HD, Sony Ten 3, Sony Ten 4, and Sony Ten 4 HD). 
  • In Saudi Arabia, the show is telecasted at 1 PM EDT every Friday on Netflix. 
  • In Australia, the show will be live at 10 AM AEST every Wednesday on Netflix.
