Tony D’Angelo vs Myles Borne – NXT Championship No. 1 Contender’s Match
The biggest match of the night will see Tony D’Angelo and Myles Borne compete for an opportunity to challenge Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship at Halloween Havoc on October 31.
Borne has been making his intentions clear in recent weeks, including confronting Waller and demanding a championship opportunity. D’Angelo, meanwhile, will look to use his power and experience to secure another shot at the top prize in NXT.
The contest is particularly important because Waller will be watching closely to learn who his next challenger will be. Borne could establish himself as a rising title contender with a victory, while D’Angelo has the opportunity to return to the championship picture. The winner will have little time to prepare for Halloween Havoc, making the stakes even higher.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic continues
The Vanity Project vs Chazz “Starboy” Hall and Mini Vikingo
NXT Tag Team Champions Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes of The Vanity Project will enter the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic against Chazz “Starboy” Hall and Mini Vikingo.
The champions received a bye into the second round, giving them an opportunity to study the competition before beginning their tournament campaign. However, Hall and Mini Vikingo will be eager to take advantage of the opportunity and eliminate the reigning champions from the competition.
The matchup will test whether The Vanity Project can combine their championship experience with the teamwork needed to advance in a tournament setting. For Hall and Mini Vikingo, a victory would be a major breakthrough and could put them in contention for future tag team title opportunities.
Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno vs Fraxiom
The other Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic quarter-final will see Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno take on Fraxiom, the team of Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
Frazer and Axiom are known for their fast-paced offence and seamless teamwork, making them dangerous opponents in a tournament environment. Dar and Moreno, however, will aim to disrupt their rhythm and use their own combination of technical wrestling and strategy to advance.
With a place in the semi-finals at stake, neither team can afford to make costly mistakes. Fraxiom will be among the teams to watch in the tournament, but Dar and Moreno have the opportunity to upset the favourites and move one step closer to winning the prestigious competition.
Saquon Shugars vs Tristan Angels
Saquon Shugars will face Tristan Angels in a singles contest as both competitors look to build momentum on NXT. Although the match does not carry a championship stipulation, it offers both wrestlers an opportunity to make an impression on the brand.
Shugars will aim to use his physicality and aggression to control the contest, while Angels will be looking to secure a statement victory. With Halloween Havoc approaching, strong performances in matches like this can help wrestlers position themselves for bigger opportunities in the coming weeks.
