WWE NXT tonight features a number one contender match.
The September 15, 2026 edition of WWE NXT airs live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show picks up from last week, which saw Tony D’Angelo, Mason Rook, and Saquon Shugars defeat Cruz Montana, EK Prosper, and Keanu Carver.
The winners are now headed for a Triple Threat No. 1 Contender’s match for the NXT Title after teaming up for a major Six-Man Tag Team match last week. D’Angelo, Rook and Shugars will collide in a triple threat match tonight, with the winner securing a title shot against reigning Champion Grayson Waller.
On the other hand, Kali Armstrong will battle Lizzy Rain in singles action, while DarkState (Cutler James & Osiris Griffin) takes on the team of Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux in a tag team match.
Additionally, former NXT North American Champion Myles Borne is set to issue a “public apology” for assaulting his tag partner Tavion Heights at NXT Heatwave. This comes after Borne lost both the North American Championship and the NXT Tag Team Championship, which he held alongside Heights, at the PLE.
