WWE NXT (September 2, 2025): Preview, match card, news, timings & where to watch

This week’s episode will feature a colossal eight-man tag team match!

As the road to NXT No Mercy continues, the developmental brand is set to deliver the September 2 episode of WWE NXT, which is set at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida.

Multiple stars, including Obe Femi, Lash Legend, Ricky Saints, Jaida Parker, and Dion Lennox, among others, are set to compete on the show. Additionally, the show will also feature appearances from TNA’s Xia Brookside and Candice LeRae from the main roster.

Ahead of their NXT title clash at No Mercy, Oba Femi and Rick Saints will team up along with former NXT Tag Champions Hank & Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) to battle the Darkstate (“NXT Tag Team Champions” Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin, Cutler James & Saquon Shugars) in an eight-man tag match.

On the other hand, as announced by General Manager AVA at WWE Heatwave 2025, the Women’s Speed Championship Tournament will kick off next week, and the first round match will feature a clash between SmackDown’s Candice LeRae and TNA’s Xia Brookside.

The winner of the match will advance in the tournament and will battle the winner of the clash between Faby Apache and Lainey Reid. The winner of that match will lock horns with the Champion Sol Ruca at the upcoming PLE.

Additionally, Lash Legend and Jaida Parker will lock horns inside the squared ring next week, following their backstage interaction where Parker mocked Legend for losing to Nia Jax.
