WWE NXT has kicked off the build towards Halloween Havoc!
In the backdrop of NXT Showdown, which concluded last week, the development brand delivered the October 14 episode of WWE NXT from the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida. The show featured the aftermath of TNA Invasion and intensified the build towards Halloween Havoc.
In the opening moments of the show, former TNA World Champion Trick Williams came out to challenge Ricky Saints with the NXT title on the line. In the first match of the show, Josh Briggs defeated Matt Cardona in the latter’s in-ring return.
AAA’s El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. defeated Lexis King, while Blake Monroe pinned Zaria after spiking her with a hair comb. Furthermore, the triple threat tag team match between Chase U (Kale Dixon & Uriah Connors), Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger), and the Culling (Niko Vance & Shawn Spears) ended in a no-contest as OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) made their return, wreaking havoc.
Before the main event, Sol Ruca gave her spot in the NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Battle Royal to Zaria. The battle royal was the main event of the show, where Tatum Paxley bagged the win after accidentally eliminating Izzi Dame and Jordynne Grace to become the #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship.
The TNA X-Division title will be contested on next week’s show

During the show, the promotion announced multiple matches for next week’s show. TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater is slated to defend the title against Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo.
The October 21 show will feature the WWE Speed Tournament, with two exciting matchups announced for the developmental brand. Axiom will face Shawn Legacy, and Jasper Troy will go up against Zachary Wentz.
Furthermore, following their return and the subsequent attack, OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) will battle former NXT Tag Champions Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) in a tag team match.
Additionally, ahead of their Halloween Havoc showdown, NXT Champion Rick Saints and challenger Trick Williams will take part in a contract signing for their upcoming title match.
As always, the show will air live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and will serve as the go-home show for the 2025 edition of Halloween Havoc. Additionally, fans can catch all the action on The CW in the US and Netflix internationally (excluding some markets).
