The debut episode claims the top spot in Netflix’s Top 10 TV Shows in the USA

The Stamford-based promotion delivered on their promise and put on a historic debut show of WWE RAW on Netflix. The debut show emanated from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood on January 6 and marked the first time since the Red brand’s debut in 1993 that it will no longer be available on traditional television.

The historic show featured four matches including a Women’s World title match, a tribal combat match, and two grudge matches. Multiple top stars made an appearance with three WWE legend making their return on the debut show.

The Rock and John Cena made their return, and Hulk Hogan also made an appearance promotion the Netflix transition and his new beer brand. Cena kicked off his farewell tour and announced his entry into the 30-man Royal Rumble which leads him to a title shot.

Rhea Ripley pinned Liv Morgan to become the Women’s World Champion for the second time in her career. Roman Reigns restored order as he defeated Solo Sikoa and reclaimed the Ula Fala, while Jey Uso broke his losing streak against Drew McIntyre and pinned the Scottish Warrior.

CM Punk emerged victorious in the main event clash against Seth Rollins, the two stars put on an instant classic with multiple jaw-dropping moments and close pin-falls.

WWE RAW is free from time constraints on Netflix

The historic episode of Monday Night Raw was as WWE CCO Triple H said free from time constraints due to it being on a streaming platform and not on traditional television. The total runtime of the debut episode was slightly over three hours.

The frequency of ads in between matches and segments was also less than earlier making the viewing experience more seamless for fans.

According to Netflix, the Red brand has now surpassed the second installment of the uber-popular show Squid Games on the ‘Top 10 TV Programmes in the US Today’ list.

It seems like the debut episode is a hit among fans as the top spot leaves an impression that the program is being watched more than anything else in the USA on Netflix.

However, it’s unclear whether this top ranking is a one-time anomaly due to the show’s high-profile debut featuring multiple big names or if the program will consistently dominate the ratings every Monday.

How would you rate the debut show of Monday Night RAW? Will the Red brand dominate the number-one spot consistently? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
