WWE RAW Full Results & Winners (August 26, 2024): Uncle Howdy defeats Chad Gable in his in-ring debut

The August 26, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw is officially over and it is the final episode of Raw before the 2024 Bash in Berlin PLE. WWE has showcased some of the interesting matches and segments on the show including the #1 Contender’s tournament for the IC title & the final face-offs for the PLE matches. Get to know what happened on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, as we came out with the complete show summary, highlights, results and winners list.
WWE Raw Summary & Highlights
The Judgment Day was live
The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Carlito, JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio) kicked of Monday Night Raw. They cut promo of what happened last week and what’s going to happen at Bash in Berlin, when Dom & Liv face Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest. Dom explained that he sticked with Liv because she did what Ripley can’t do, which is beating his deadbeat dad. Dom with the support of Liv enters the Intercontinental Title #1 Contender’s tournament.
The Judgment Day was interrupted by the Latino World Order lead by Rey Mysterio. Rey asked Dom what’s wrong with him and cuts a promo saying that Dom need to be controlled. Dom said that he already bet him and go away. Rey wanted to beat the mustache out of Dom’s face and asked him to attack him. A brawl broke out with LWO sending Judgment Day out and Dragon Lee jumped over them.
Eight Man Tag Team Match- The Judgment Day vs Latino World Order
The match began during the commercial with Latino World Order taking control of Carlito with the back to back to back tag ins. Del Toro & Joaquine Wilde with the double team took The Carribean Cool, however the distraction and a cheap shot from the other members of the Judgment Day took the game off from them, with the back to back tag-ins. Del Toro and Wilde took the whole crew down. Wilde with the assist from Lee and Toro flied wrecking them down.
After the commercial, Carlito took control of Wilde in their corner and everyone jumped on Wilde. McDonagh tags Rey and Dom is in. Rey teaches a lesson to his son and pulles his mullet off and delivered a senton. A distraction from the other members of Judgment Day made Dom land a shot on Rey. However Rey took Dom down and went for the top rope.
Dom joins him on the tope rope, trying to stop, but Rey delivered the sunset flip powerbomb. LWO took everyone out and Dom is cauvht in the middle. Rey sent Dom out and all LWO members delivered a suicide dive on every member of the Judgment Day on all the four sides. Rey dragged Dom in and delivered a 619. When going for the Frog Splash, Liv pulled Dom and Rey landed on the mat. Dom rolled Rey to win the match.
Post-match brawl
LWO and Judgment Day involve in a brawl. They tried to break the table with Rey, but the Terror Twins (Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley) popped out and cleared the house. Liv, Dom and Balor escaped, but JD and Carlito became victim to the terror twins. Rhea delivered a Riptide on JD and Priest delivered the south of heaven chokeslam.
Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane) vs The Pure Fusion Collective (Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark)
Iyo Sky and Zoey Stark started the match showcasing their athleticism. Sky was sent out and the distraction led to Sonya Deville deliver a cheap shot on Sky. After the commercial, Kairi Sane took both Baszler and Zoey in control with the drop kicks and an innovative offense. Kairi double stacked them in the corner and delivered a corner clothesline and a clothesline from the top rope. Kairi locks with a submission arm bar, bur Baszler locks her with the ankle lock and tags Zoey in.
Zoey delivered a missile drop kick and Iyo breaks the fall. Zoey took Kairi to the top rope. Outside the ring, Zelina Vega made her return and took Sonya Deville down. This distracted Zoey. Sky took down Shayna with the moonsault and Kairi hit the insane elbow on Zoey for the pin and Damage CTRL won the match.
Drew McIntyre & CM Punk brawl
Drew McIntyre standing in the middle of the ring mocked Punk’s intro catchphrase. He said that Punk is predictible and is afraid of him, that’s why he is attacking him from the back, week after week.
When he comes face to face at Bash in Berlin, he will kill him and show him the hell, while whipping the strap on his back. CM Punk‘s music is played and Drew has his sights on the entrance, but Punk with the leather strap attacked Drew from the back.
Both brawled ringside, where Punk whipped Drew with the straps, until securities came out and separated them. Drew escaped through the WWe Universe and Punk took the securities out by beating them with the strap to clear the house.
Intercontinenal Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament [First round]- Jey Uso vs Kofi Kingston vs Karrion Kross
The match began with Kofi and Jey stomping Kross in the corner, but the alliance didn’t last longer, after Jey tried for a roll down on Kross. Kofi tried for a Trouble in Paradise on Jey, but Kross pull Jey out of the ring. Kofi with a drop kick and took Kross down to jump over them.
Kross and Jey Uso exchange stikes in the middle of the ring and Jey took Kross down. Kofi join him in the ring, only to get take down by Jey. Kross delivered a big boot on Jey and Kross delivered a crossbody from the top rope. Kofi took both down and delivered a boom drop on both of them.
Kofi delivered a Trouble in Paradise to Jey to send him out. Kross with a foream and locks him for an innovative submission manuever targetting his leg. Kofi fights back, but Jey tokk him out. Jey delivered a spear to Kross and hit the Uso Splash to pin Kross and won the match to advance to the next round.
Randy Orton’s message to Gunther
Randy Orton came to the middle of the ring to address the WWE Universe and thank them for having his back. He then addressed how important the World Heavyweight Championship mean to him. He said that he is the youngest WHC & was the one to retire the title in 2013. When the new title was brought, he wasn’t here due to injury. However he looks to conquer the title once again.
Orton knows that he will be in an hostile situation in Berlin, and will be fighting a legend. He said that the match was only set for the title, but Gunther made it personal by referring his family and triggered his inner demons. Talking about Demons, Orton said that he fought a number of them in the past, which were dangerous than Gunther ever be. As Orton overcame them, he also looks to overcome Gunther by becoming the World Heavyweight Champion with the three deadliest letter in the world R-K-O.
Braun Strowman vs Bron Breakker
Braun Strowman delivered a running drop kick on Bronson Reed to begin the match, but Reed took him out and delivered a suicide dive to take control.
After the commercial, Reed delivered a DDT on Strowman and went for the top rope, but Strowman thre him across the ring. Braun looks to Powerslam Reed, but his back have out. Strowman looks to chokeslam Reed, but he walked out. Braun chases Reed and the match ended in a double count out.
Reed and Strowman continued to attack each other in the backstage and went to the parking lot. Reed threw weapons on the Monster, but Strowman chokeslammed Reed over a car and threw a steel ridges on him. Reed fights back with a steel pipe to the head and delivered a Tsunami from the compound wall to through the car.
Intercontinenal Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament [First round]- The Miz vs Xavier Woods vs Pete Dunne
The match began with all the three roll each other down looking for a fall. Dunne stomps both of them and delivered a suicide dive. Miz took them down and stands tall before the commercial. After the commercial, Woods take control of Dunne and sending him coast to coast and splashing him in the corner. Woods swings Dunne and Miz delivered a DDT to Woods. Miz delivers a double DDT to Dunne and Woods and went for the yes kicks.
Miz completes the kicks and drop kicked both oth them. Miz dumps Dunne’s head to the ring post and Woods slammed Miz and delivered a vertical gutbuster. Woods powerbombed Dunne through Miz, but only for a near fall. All the three chop each other and Miz tried for a double Skull Crushing Finale, but got countered. Dunne is sent out and Miz delivered the Skull Crushing Finale to woods.
Dunne sends Miz out to pin Woods, but breaks out. Dunne locks Miz with the crossface and Woods broke it. Woods went for the top rope and delivered the Limit Break Elbow, but Dunne pulled the referee. Dunne delivered a big boot to Woods and sends him out. He delivered the Bitter End to Miz and pinned him for the win.
Bron Breakker Backstage Interview
Bron Breakker was interviewed backstage and he is asked about the ongoing #1 Contender’s tournament. He praised both Jey and Dunne for their win. He warns Jey to watch his mouth, as no member of their family bet their family in the past. He also warns Dunne and the others who will qualify saying none can beat him.
The Terror Twin
The Terror Twins addresses Judgment Day’s promo. They made them the villains of their own story and are playing the victim. However they will make them their victim at Bash in Berlin. The called to bring their demons to their match.
Chad Gable vs Uncle Howdy
Both lock hands and shoulders in the middle of the ring and Chad Gable strikes. However Howdy took Gable down before the commercial. After the commercial, Gable delivered a crockscrew on Howdy and trid for the flying headbutt, but Howdy escapes. Gable sends Howdy out of the ring and delivered a clothesline from top of the rope.
Gable tried to run through Howdy, but Howdy took him out and hit the hip attack to the barricade. Howdy threw Gable through the table and looks to break it, but Gable delivered the Angle Slam on Howdy. Gable enters the ring asking referee to count, but Howdy breaks the pin at 9.
Gable took Howdy to the top rope and hit a vertical super-plex to take Howdy down. Gable deliver three German Suplex on Howdy. Gable is fired up and looks for other, but Howdy escaped and delivered the slam. Howdy bumps Gable in the corner and delivered an elevated neckbreaker.
Howdy attempted a Sister Abigail, but Ivy Nile distracted him. Gable locked him with the Ankle lock and the reversal knocked out the referee. Howdy caught Gable with the Mandible Claw, and the Creed Brothers took Howdy out to the barricade.
Howdy laughs and the lights went of. Wyatt Sicks took the Creed Brothers out from the ringside, beating them. Gable tries to finish things with Howdy and went for the moonsault, however Howdy escaped and delivered Sister Abigail to win his debut match.
Raw Results
- The Judgment Day defeated Latino World Order in an eight man tag team match. After the match, The Terror Twins and The Judgment Day brawled
- Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL defeated Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark of The Pure Fusion Collective. (Zelina Vega returned during the match).
- Drew McIntyre & CM Punk involved in a brawl ringside.
- Jey Uso defeated Kofi Kingston & Karrion Kross to advance to the next round in the Intercontinental title #1 Contender’s tournament.
- Bron Breakker & Braun Strowman match ended in a double count out. After the match both had a parking lot brawl, where Reed squashed Strowman with the Tsunami over the car.
- Pete Dunne defeated The Miz & Xavier Woods to advance to the next round in the Intercontinental title #1 Contender’s tournament.
- Uncle Howdy defeated Chad Gable to win his in-ring debut match.
