WWE RAW Full Results & Winners (September 02, 2024): Drew McIntyre brutally assaults CM Punk

The September 02, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw is officially over and it is the must watch shows in recent times. This was the Bash in Berlin fallout episode of Raw, which was held in Denver, Colorado. WWE has showcased some of the interesting matches and segments for the show including the continuation of the IC title #1 Contender’s tournament. Get to know what happened on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, as we came out with the complete summary, highlights, results and winners list of the show.
WWE Raw Summary & Highlights
Monday Night Mami!
Rhea Ripley kicked-off Monday Night Raw and addressed what happened at Bash in Berlin. Ripley wanted a title shot against Liv Morgan, after pinning the champ in Berlin. Dominik Mysterio interrupted him claiming that Liv Morgan is not here and said that if Liv was here she would agree to the challenge, as she already defeated her. Ripley said that she is ready to fight Liv any time, any day.
Liv came out of nowhere to attack Rhea, and both brawled. Rhea twisted her ankles between the ropes and hung, where Liv and Dom made fun of her. Damian Priest made Dom & Liv retreat and help her terror twin to escape from the ropes. On the backstage, Ripley struggled with the pain in the medical room and Priest asked her to take case and he will handle the new Judgment Day for her.
Six Person Mixed Tag Team Match- The American Made vs Alpha Academy
The American made took Otis and Maxxine Dupri out of the ring and targetted Akira Tozawa. Julius and Tozawa begun the match. Tozawa took Julius down and tagged Otis in, who got fired up and took both the Creeds single handedly. He deliered a powerlam ot Julius. Ivy Nile tagged in and Maxxine took her out. Otis took the Creeds out of the ring and Maxxine jumped over them taking everyone down from the top rope.
The match went back to the hands of American Made after the commercial, with Tozawa targetted on their corner. Tozawa somehow managed to deliver a Tornado DDT on Julius and tagged Otis in. Otis took Julius out and Brutus used the distraction to deliver the Brutus Ball to Otis. Maxxine and Ivy tagged in and Maxxine took her down with the suplex and went for the reverse Caterpillar, but Gable distract and made Ivy Nile to lock her submission hold for the win.
Chad Gable challenges Wyatt Sicks
After the match, Chad Gable challenged Wyatt Sicks for a Eight person tag team match in an attempt to end his rivalry with the Wyatt Sicks. Uncle Howdy came to the entrance ramp and accpeted the challenge along with the Wyatts.
Zelina Vega vs Shayna Baszler
Zelina Vega slapped Shayna Baszler in the face and ran out of the ring to play the cat and mouse game. Vega then took advantage of Baszler with a forearm to the face, 619 crashing Baszler from the top rope. Baszler tried to fight back, but Vega escaped delivered a moonsault from the top rope for a nearfall. Baszler then hit her knee to Vega’s jaw and picked up the win.
After the match, The Pure Fusion Collective attacked Vega and Lyra Valkyria came for the save. However the numbers game took both down to make the statement to the locker room.
Backstage
Rhea Ripley was not well and she can’t compete tonight. Priest met her and said that Balor only wanted a tag team match and Priest don’t have a partner. Ripley said that she know someone and she will call for the help, asking Priest to call for a tag team match.
CM Punk was live
CM Punk was extremely happy to be back after defeating Drew McIntyre at Bash in Berlin and getting his bracelet back. He looks to move on from him and go for the World title. He addressed Gunther’s win and said that he will come for the gold pretty soon, and asked him to enjoy his reign until then.
Punk then went on to celebrate standing on the announcement table, but Drew McIntyre came out of nowhere and attacked Punk. Wade Barrett tried to control Drew, but he delivered a Claymore to Punk. Inside the ring Drew delivered another Claymore and broke the bracelet.
Drew tried to put the broken bracelet inside Punk’s mouth and the securities seperate them. However he delivered another Claymore on Punk. Drew was escorted backstage and Punk was carried in the stretcher. In the backstage, Drew attacked Punk causing him to bleed, and the officials took Drew out.
Intercontinenal Championship #1 Contenders First Round Match- Dominik Mysterio vs Ilja Dragunov vs Dragon Lee
Dom tried to fight both, but Dragon and Dragunov sent Dom outside the ring. Ilja took Lee down with a shoulder tackle and Lee sends Dragunov out and went for the ropes, but Dom pulled his leg and performed a springboard senton and a slide kick to Ilja. Dom chopped Dragunov, which fired him off. Dragunov delivered a counter chop and performed a suplex and a double suplex.
After the commercial, Dragon Lee and Dominik exchange strikes on the top of the rope. Dragunov pulled Lee down to deliver the H-bomb, but Dom performed a frog splash to break the pin. Dragunive delivered a death valley driver on Dom to the apron. Lee took Dragunov with the hurricanrana and goes after Dom, but Carlito pushed him down. Carlito attacks Lee, but Priest took him iut and chased Dominik out from the ringside.
It went down to two. Lee and Dragunov fight, with Lee delivering a powerbomb. Dragon Lee goes for the top rope, but Draguniv took him down with the Michinoku driver. Lee stomped Ilja on the chest and delivered a basememt drop kick. Dragunov delivered a Torpedo Masco to Lee and pinned him for the win.
Backstage
Braun Strowman was on the backstage with multiple tapes to his ribs. Strowman said that he wanted to be in the match. He claims that the medical team gave him the approval. Pearce inserts him into the match.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match
The new Women’s World Champions sat on the ringside to watch the #1 contender’s match. The Unholy Union with a double team took Kairi Sane in their corner. Dawn and Kairi start the match, where Kairi took both her opponents out and Kairi with a clothesline and Iyo Sky with a over the rope moonsault took them out and confront the champs ringside.
Back after the commercial, Dawn took Kairi to their corner and splashed her. Kairi escapes the splash and crawls down to tag Sky but Fyre stops her. Kairi took Fyre down and hot tagged Sky. She is fired up and took both her opponents single handedly with a double drop kick and double knees to Fyre.
Sky delivered a knee to the back of Fyre and goes for the fall, bug Dawn breaks it. Dawn is sent out and Kairi jumps, but Dawn pulled Belair to take the strike. Jade attacked Kairi in the back. This made The Unholy Union took a cheap shot on Sky and deliver their finisher to pick up the win.
Backstage
Damian Priest asked Rhea Ripley, who she wanted him to tag with and Ripley said Yeet! Priest wants to have a word with him for the match.
Gunther got confronted by Sami Zayn
Gunther addressed what happened on Berlin. He defeated one of the Greatest of All Time on his greatest version. He says that is was just another chapeter of his legacy.
Sami Zayn interrupts Gunther. Sami Zayn joins him on the ring and the crowd got cheering up. Sami says that he took Gunther’s legacy when he defeated Gunther for the IC title. He said that a lot of legends used IC title win as a stepping stone to win the world title. Gunther did the same and Sami wants to do the same.
Gunther says that he and all the legends he mentioned stepped up after IC title win, but Sami stepped down everytime. He says that Sami don’t deserve a title shot at his title and said no and walked out. Sami stops The Ring General in the middle of the ramp saying why Gunther backs down when it comes to Sami, because he is the one who defeated Gunther. He will do it again for the world title.
Backstage
Jey Uso is interviewed backstage about Bron Breakker‘s promo last week. Jey is confronted by Bron and he says that no one from his family beat his family members in the past and Jey too won’t do it. He asked Jey to chase Rhea Ripley and leave the tournament. Jey said that he gonna get Mami and the IC title.
Intercontinenal Championship #1 Contenders First Round Match- Sheamus vs Braun Strowman vs Ludwig Kaiser
Kaiser stepped out and Sheamus chases him. Both brawl outside the ring and Sheamus delivered a rolling senton outside the ring. Braun Strowman took both down with a double clothesline and sends Sheamus to the ring post. Strowman tried to take Kaiser out, but he stepped away, as thr Monster went crashing through the barricade. Sheamus was sent to the ring post. Kaiser sent Sheamus outside the ring, near the steel stairs and took a long run, but Strowman with a throw of a chair took Kaiser down.
Inside the ring, Sheamus took Strowman down with ten beats to the bodhran and knee to the face to send him out. Sheamus delivered a brogue kick to Kaiser, but Dunne pulls Sheamus out and attacked him on the back with the Shillelagh. Strowman used that to splash Kaiser in the corner and delivered a powerslam to advance for the finals.
Damian Priest & Jey Uso vs Finn Balor & JD McDonagh
Damian Priest and Finn Balor were on the ring and Balor fear tagged JD McDonagh in. Priest kicked him out of the ring and tossed Finn inside the ring. Finn escapes agajn and JD is taken to the opposite corner. Jey Uso gets the tag and JD took him to the othercornet and the back to back tag ins took out Jey. Balor distracts the referee and JD went for a cheap shot. Jey took both JD and Balor down. With Priest pulling the ropes down, Jey umped over them.
After the commercial, Balor and JD locks Jey in their corner and they target his mid-section with stomps and senton. JD goes for an armbar on Jey, but Jey breaks and both exchange hands. JD delivered a headbutt and Jey delivered a overhead kick. Priest and Balor got tagged in and Priest got fired up. He took both Balor and JD single handedly tossing JD across the ring. Balor tried a slingblade, but Priest escaped to deliver a clothesline.
Priest looks for a South of Heavens Chokeslam, but JD pulls his head. Jey gets blind tagged and Priest took both down with a clothesline. Jey took them with a crossbody and speared JD. Jey went for the top rope, but Liv popped out and pulled Jey’s leg crashing down. Balor delivered a Coupe De Grace and JD delivered a moonsault from the top rope, but Priest breaks the pin.
Liv distracts the referee, but Rhea Ripley appeared ringside with a broken leg with the walking stick. Liv mocked Rhea for her leg injury, but Rhea took a shot on Liv with the stick and chased her with the injured leg. Inside the ring, Jey speared Finn, Priest delivered a Razer’s edge and Jey with the frog splash on JD picked up the win.
