With the final weeks of 2025 rapidly slipping away, the pressure is on across WWE Raw as multiple superstars scramble to complete their championship goals before the year ends.
Monday night’s episode from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City promises drama, tension, and high-stakes clashes, all serving as the final stop before WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, where John Cena will compete in the last match of his legendary career.
Announced matches & segments for WWE Raw 12/8
- AJ Styles & Dragon Lee (c) vs The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) – WWE World Tag Team titles match
- Rey Mysterio vs Finn Balor
- The Winner of John Cena’s final match tournament, Gunther to appear
- Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer to appear

AJ Styles & Dragon Lee (c) vs War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) – WWE World Tag Team titles match
WWE World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee are set for another major challenge on the December 8 edition of Raw, as they defend their titles against former champions Erik and Ivar of the War Raiders.
Fresh off an impressive victory over The New Day, Styles and Lee approached Raw General Manager Adam Pearce with a request to face a team they felt truly deserved a shot, specifically naming the War Raiders. Erik and Ivar dominated the division earlier in 2025, holding the titles before losing them to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, and now look to reclaim the gold they once carried with pride.
Since winning the championships in October, Styles and Lee have already proven themselves as fighting champions, putting the titles on the line twice against The Judgment Day.
Their blend of speed, striking, and innovative teamwork has made them one of Raw’s most exciting duos, but the powerhouse brutality of the War Raiders presents a very different threat. This showdown could reshape Raw’s tag team landscape once again.
Rey Mysterio vs Finn Balor
Rey Mysterio returns to in-ring action next week as he faces The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor in a highly personal showdown.
In backstage comments, Mysterio made it clear he’s ready to fight every member of the faction if that’s what it takes to reach his ultimate goal, challenging Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.
With family pride and future title aspirations on the line, Rey looks to make a powerful statement by taking down one of Judgment Day’s most dangerous competitors.
The Winner of John Cena’s final match tournament to appear
The Last Time Is Now Tournament reached its dramatic conclusion on the December 5, 2025, edition of WWE SmackDown, where LA Knight and GUNTHER battled in a highly anticipated main event at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
With the winner earning the honor of facing John Cena in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, the stakes could not have been higher. Fans heavily backed LA Knight, but GUNTHER entered the match carrying an imposing statistic: he had never lost a non-title singles match in WWE.
Both superstars delivered a physical, high-energy showdown. Knight hit an AA, a burning hammer, and even a top-rope elbow, while GUNTHER responded with brutal offense, including splashes, a powerbomb, and his signature sleeper. After a grueling battle, Knight ultimately tapped out to GUNTHER’s punishing combination of strikes and submissions.
Now officially John Cena’s final opponent, GUNTHER is set to appear on Raw, ready to address the WWE Universe before their historic showdown.
Additionally, Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer is also set to appear as she looks to continue her title reign. On the other hand, Lyra Valkyria and Roxanne Perez will reignite their NXT rivalry as they are set to battle in singles action.
