Since losing the title at WrestleMania 41, ‘The Ring General’ Gunther has been determined to get it back, he was set to battle the winner of the title clash between Jey Uso and Logan Paul from Saturday Night’s Main Event (May 24), where Jey emerged victorious.

Jey is now set to defend the title for the third time against a familiar foe in Gunther on this week’s show. This will be their first meeting since Mania. Jey is also coming off a win alongside Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank 2025, and the battle scars might hinder his ability, which he would have to overcome.

As mentioned, the episode will serve as the fallout show from Money in the Bank 2025, which concluded on Saturday, June 7th, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Seth Rollins bagged the men’s MITB ladder match while Naomi emerged as the 2025 Ms. Money in the Bank.

Becky Lynch defeated Lyra Valkyria to become the new Women’s IC Champion, while Dominik Mysterio defeated Octagon Jr. to retain the IC title. The main event of the show saw R-Truth’s return, who attacked John Cena as Cody Rhodes capitalized, pinning Cena to pick up the win in the main event alongside Jey Uso, defeating Cena and Logan Paul.

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella returns

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is set to make her return on this week’s show of Raw in Arizona. The announcement was made during the MITB PLE. Bella made her surprising return during the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble match in February. This will be her second WWE appearance in three years.

WWE King & Queen Of The Ring Tournaments kick off

As announced by RAW GM Adam Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis, the show will also kick off the King & Queen of the Ring Tournament. The tournament will culminate in a match between the finalists at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. The two GMs also revealed that the winner of the tournament would earn a title shot against the Champions at SummerSlam.
