Liv Morgan attacks Becky Lynch; Dominik Mysterio suffers another loss & more!

The August 10 edition of Monday Night Raw concluded live from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The show kicked off the tournament to decide World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns’ title challenger for the September 14 edition of Raw in Mexico City.

The Bloodline drama continued in Reigns’ absence, while Bron Breakker and Oba Femi had another intense face-off. The show also featured appearances from Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer, with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan making her presence felt during the segment.

WWE Raw Summary and Highlights

• Solo Sikoa kicked off the show and called out The Bloodline, prompting Jey Uso to appear. Jey told Sikoa that he needed to fall in line, but Sikoa refused to back down. Jey then challenged him to a match, which Sikoa accepted and stated that he wants the Bloodline to leave him alone if he won.

• Backstage, Jey Uso met with Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu; the latter questioned Jey’s actions, and Jey explained that he was trying to handle the situation with Solo. Jacob accused Jey of ignoring the family, but Jey insisted that he planned to bring Solo back into the family. Fatu reminded Jey that he has dealt with Royce Keys, adding that the only way Jey could handle Solo was by beating him inside the ring.
• Penta vs Laredo Kid – World Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament first round match: Penta defeated AAA’s Laredo Kid to advance into the semi-finals.
• Backstage, The Vision were interviewed by Byron Saxton, where Maxxine Dupri and Austin Theory vowed to take down Akira Tozawa. Bron Breakker was completely uninterested in the segment and stayed back as the rest of the Vision left.
  • Breakker asked Byron Saxton whether he liked Oba Femi and if he believed Femi was the future. Saxton replied that Brock Lesnar had said as much. Breakker told Saxton that he sounded just like Paul Heyman before walking away.

• Austin Theory vs Akira Tozawa: Theory defeated Tozawa via pinfall. Post-match, Theory attacked Tozawa as GM Adam Pearce rushed in with referees. Bron Breakker steps into the ring to attack Tozawa when Oba Femi arrived. Theory tried to attack but was met with a boot from Oba, who got on the apron as Pearce and officials swarmed the ring to separate the two. Logan Paul joined to help them.

• Backstage, Rey Mysterio praised Penta and Laredo Kid for putting on a spectacular match. He added that when Raw eventually returned to Mexico, Roman Reigns would have his hands full. Dragon Lee arrived and thanked him for the opportunity. Mysterio stated that Lee that he had earned his place in the tournament.
  • Dominik Mysterio interrupted and criticized his Rey for leaving him out of the tournament. Rey fired back that Dominik did not need another handout. Dragon Lee stepped in and told Dominik that he would speak to Adam Pearce before promising to see him in the ring. Dominik responded by making it clear that he would indeed see Dragon in the ring.
• Stephanie Vaquer arrived for a promo, noting that she has missed this place before turning her attention to Liv Morgan and the Judgment Day. Vaquer noted how she has defeated Raquel a thousand times and will do it again, and Roxanne is a dead woman, and Liv should be scared because they both know who the title belongs to.
  • Becky Lynch arrived, stating that she wants the same thing as Vaquer. Lynch stated that Morgan was setting the Division back to the 2000s despite the progress she had made. She also took a shot at Vaquer, suggesting that she either had terrible luck or that her body simply could not hold up. Vaquer fires back, stating that she doesn’t care and warned Becky not to get in her way.
  • As Vaquer left, Morgan ambushed Becky and went for the Oblivion when Becky countered. Vaquer returns to the ring as Liv escapes. Vaquer and Becky stared down each other to end the segment.

• Backstage, in an interview with Cathy Kelley, LA Knight declared that he would win the World Title #1 Contenders tournament, only to be reminded that it was specifically for luchadores. Solo Sikoa then interrupted to warn Knight that if he is taken, Knight would be next in line. Knight reminded Sikoa that their alliance had been for one night only. Sikoa responded that he simply wanted to warn him.
• Dragon Lee vs Dominik Mysterio: Lee defeated Dominik Mysterio after delivering Operation Dragon. Big Cass attacked Lee after the match, when Je’Von Evans rushed in to make the save, but was laid out once again by Cass.

• Backstage, Danhausen offered his services at a discount to Sol Ruca, but Ruca said she already found a partner for the tag match against the Judgment Day.
• Backstage, LA Knight confronted GM Adam Pearce and asked about getting his opportunity. Pearce assured Knight that he would work on making it happen. Jacob Fatu then confronted Knight and warned him to stay away from his family.

• Sol Ruca & Iyo Sky vs The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez): Ruca picked Iyo as her tag partner, and the duo defeated the Judgment Day with Ruca securing the pinfall after delivering a Sol Snatcher on Roxanne.
• Backstage, Bron Breakker confronted Paul Heyman and asked whether he believed Oba Femi was the future of WWE. Heyman responded by saying that he was beginning to think Breakker views Femi as the future, adding that he would continue to respect Femi until Breakker gave him a reason to believe that Femi was not worthy of his respect.

• Backstage, Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable lauded Rey Mysterio’s work in AAA. Gable then laid out a challenge against the greatest luchador of all time. Mysterio accepted the challenge, and Chad said he’ll go talk to Adam Pearce.
• Backstage, Lyra Valkyria confronted Sol Ruca and Iyo Sky, stating she is happy for Sol, but questioned why Ruca believed she could regain the IC title when she had yet to reclaim it herself. Sol asked what Lyra had done to earn a title match, prompting Lyra to remind her about Bayley before warning Ruca not to get in the way of her pursuit of the title.

• Jey Uso vs Solo Sikoa (If Solo loses, he will have to rejoin the Bloodline): Jey defeated Solo after ring-side interference from Jimmy Uso helped him regain control of the match. Jey will now deliver Sikoa to Roman Reigns next week.
