This Monday’s WWE Raw concluded at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. The August 24 edition aired two hours early at 6 PM ET/ 3 PM PT and continued the build towards the upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event.

The show featured Stephanie Vaquer’s in-ring return, along with a contract signing for SNME. The semi-finals of the World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contenders Tournament also concluded in Ottawa. Additionally, LA Knight and Solo Sikoa made appearances after last week’s developments.

WWE Raw Summary and Highlights

• LA Knight & Solo Sikoa kicked off the show and were quickly interrupted by the Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), who challenged them for a tag team match later in the show, which Solo and Knight accepted.

• Stephanie Vaquer vs Roxanne Perez: Vaquer made her in-ring return for the first time since WrestleMania 42. After Becky Lynch came out to even the odds against the Judgment Day, Vaquer pinned Perez to pick up a win in her in-ring return.

• Backstage, Dominik Mysterio, along with JD McDonagh, confronted Rey Mysterio to complain about his dad being mean to him and leaving him out of the tournament. Rey said it was because he wasn’t a luchador, prompting McDonagh to warn him before Je’Von Evans appeared and laid them both out.
• Rey Fenix vs Dragon Lee – World Heavyweight Championship Contender Tournament Semi-Final match: Fenix defeated Lee to secure his spot in the finals.
• A vignette aired for Lola Vice, confirming her debut on the 9/14 edition of Raw.

• SNME Contract signing: Bron Breakker and Oba Femi appeared for a contract signing with Paul Heyman and GM Adam Pearce officiating the signing. After a promo battle, Breakker signed the contract, as Austin Theory arrived to attack Oba.
  • Femi tossed Breakker out of the ring, powerbombed Theory through the table, and then signed the contract, making the match official for SNME next month.

• Backstage, Jimmy Uso told Jacob Fatu to stay backstage after what happened last week, while Jey called him a chicken. Fatu explained that Roman Reigns had told him to stand down last week, and he simply followed orders. Jey then held up his black captaincy garland and told Fatu that meant he could tell him what to do, ordering him to stay backstage and do nothing.

• Big Cass vs Je’Von Evans: After weeks of attack, Cass finally made his in-ring return against Evans and picked up the win via pinfall after delivering a big boot. Post-match, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh ambushed Evans.
• Backstage, Iyo Sky told Sol Ruca that she would be in her corner for the IC title rematch, and Lyra Valkyria approached to congratulate Sol, warning her that Raquel Rodriguez would hurt her and suggesting she simply give her the title match so they could run it back.
  • Sol refused, while Lyra asked for another contender’s match. Ruca told her that if she wanted another title shot, she had to earn it. Valkyria said that was how Bayley used to talk to her before storming off.

• Penta vs La Parka – World Heavyweight Championship Contender Tournament Semi-Final match: Penta defeated La Parka to secure the spot in the finals against Rey Fenix. Post-match, Fenix came out for a brief face-off before embracing Penta.

• Backstage, Adam Pearce was chatting with Chad Gable when Ethan Page approached, pointing out that he had also beaten Rey Mysterio and deserved a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Page accused Gable of being intimidated by him and claimed Pearce was offering washed-up Hall of Famers title matches because he was afraid of All Ego.
  • Gable reminded Page that he had the same opportunity to earn a title shot, noting that Page had been at the top of his list of contenders, but he had talked himself out of a title match.
• Backstage, Stephanie Vaquer was told she would challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship on the September 7th edition of Raw. Vaquer said that she wouldn’t need Becky Lynch’s help. She also added that she will take the title back, and she’ll destroy Judgment Day in the process.
• LA Knight & Solo Sikoa vs The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) – Tag Team match: The main event showdown ended in a no-contest as Royce Keys returned with OTM (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima) to attack the Usos, Knight, and Solo.

• The beatdown continued ringside, with Keys taking down Solo with the steel steps, while OTM put Jimmy Uso through the announce desk. Keys and OTM stood tall in the ring to close out the show.
