WWE RAW Results, Highlights & Winners (April 29, 2024): Night 2 of WWE Draft

Draft picks, CM Punk sends message to McIntyre, Braun Strowman returns, Jey’s team win & much more!
The April 29, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw is officially over and it is one of the must watch shows in recent times. The show host the Night 2 of WWE Draft, where a total of rounds was held and 24 WWE Superstars got drafted to Raw and SmackDown. WWE also showcased some of the interesting matches and segments on the show, including two title matches. Get to know what happened on this week’s episode of Raw.
Raw Summary & Highlights
Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan & Nia Jax
Becky Lynch kicked off Monday NIght Raw. She addressed the WWE Universe in Kansas City saying that she have alot of history with the company, as the Irish Laskicker became The Man in there. Becky then spoke about becoming the World Champion after two years and looks to defend the title.
Liv Morgan interfered her saying that if she looks for a challenger, here she is. She also said that Becky oves to give her a title shot, as she is champion, because she took Rhea out.
Nia Jax confronted both of them and said that it is her final night in Raw and when she goes away, she wish to take one out of Raw. Liv Morgan drop kicked her down and accepted her challenge to have a match later tonight.
Round 1 Draft
Stephanie McMahon addressed the WWE Universe and announced the Round 1 Draft picks.
- Gunther & Ludwig Kaiser (Imperium) [Raw]

- Kevin Owens [SmackDown]
Gunther vs Xavier Woods
Gunther tried to chop Woods tight away, but Xavier Woods escaped hit chops and sent him out of the ring. While Woods tried for a slide kick, Gunther caught him and hit a vicious chop to take control of the match. Gunther had a brief control of Woods with a powerful chops and a slam.
During the mid-match, Woods leg caught between the ropes and The Ring General started punishing his knees. Gunther then locked Woods with one legged Boston Crab, making Woods suffer in pain. Kofi tried to stop the match throwing towel in, but Woods stopped him claiming that he could do it. However Gunther locked him with a STF, making Woods tap out.
Round 2 Draft
Logan Paul & I Show Speed came to announce the round 2 picks of the WWE Draft. Speed announced Raw picks and Logan Paul announced SmackDown picks.

Logan Paul, Jey Uso, Judgment Day & Braun Strowman
Logan Paul after announcing the draft picks came to the ring to say Damian Priest would defeat Jey Uso at Backlash. He said that Jey made a mistake by leaving The Bloodline. Jey Uso interfered him and teased of beating the YEET out of Logan Paul. While both yell each other Finn Balor & JD McDonagh arrived and they picked a brawl. Logan Paul borrowed the three NFL rings from Patrick Mahomes to knock Jey, but he accidentally hit JD. Logan then punched Jey, but Braun Strowman made his return to save Jey.
Backstage
Chad Gable had a deal with R-Truth to defend their tag titles tonight against Alpha Academy. Miz came to address the situation and talk about the Draft. Truth thought it is NFL Draft and wanted to get drafted to Kansas City. Miz explained him and they walk away. As Gable turned, Sami Zayn hit him with an Helluva Kick.
Intercontinental Championship Match- Sami Zayn (C) vs Bronson Reed
The match began with Reed taking down Sami, however Sami soon turned the momentum by sending Reed out and hit him with a Springboard Moonsault outside the ring. Zayn after the commercial took Reed in control, but Reed hit him wieh a chokeslam, powerbomb to the turnbuckla and a sitout powerbomb.
Reed took Sami out of the ring and hit him with a shoulder tackle from the apron. While entering the ring, Sami hit him with an Helluva Kick. Gable stopped the pinfall, by attacking Sami Zayn with a German Suplex and locking his leg with an Ankle Lock. Gable tried to make statement lifting the title high, but Reed attacked Gable with a Dead valley driver and made the statement.
Round 3 Draft
Ron Simmons & JBL (APA) came out to announce the Round 3 picks of Night 2. JBL announced Raw picks and Simmons announced SmackDown picks.

Drew McIntyre & CM Punk
After the Round 3 Draft picks are announced, Drew McIntyre came to the entrance ramp and said that he is unhappy being in the third round. He compared himself with CM Punk, who got drafted in the second round. CM Punk then showed up on top of the Gallery. This pissed of Drew and he went on to find Punk.
Candice LeRae vs Maxinne Dupri
Maxxine Dupri was fired up and she took Candice in control with a take down, Fisherman Suplex, Bull Dog and locked her with an Ankle lock. However Indi Hartwell attacked Ivy Nile outside the ring, which distracted Dupri. Candice used the distraction to hit a stomp on Dupri’s back of the neck to win the match.
Backstage Interview
LWO was on backstage and Rey Mysterio was asked about getting Drafted to Raw with Carlito after betrayal. Rey said that he has unfinished business with that. Dominik Mysterio came to confront them and say that the Judgment Day runs Monday Night. Rey mocked Dom saying that they haven’t got picked yet and made fun of Dom’s mustache.
CM Punk’s Promo
Drew McIntyre finally reached where CM Punk was, but Punk left an Autograph for him. Punk came to the ring and Drew starred from the Gallery.
Punk took microphone in his hands and cut a quick promo. He said that Drew is on his mind all the time like his ex-girlfriend and said that he is drafted later than him because he is better than him. Punk then went on to promise Drew, that if he gets cleared, he will make Drew’s life a living hell.
Round 4 Draft
Teddy Long & Alundra Blaze are here to announce the Round 4 WWE Draft. Teddy long announced Raw picks and Alundra Blaze announced SmackDown picks.

Liv Morgan vs Nia Jax
The match began with Nia jax throwing Liv Morgan across the ring. Liv tried to fight back with a series of drop kicks, but Nia took her down using his power as her advantage. Live somehow fought back and sent Jax to the ring ropes and banged her head. Jax however took Liv with a Samoan Drop. Nia went for the ropes to deliver an Annihilator, but Liv hit her with a Powerbomb from the top rope.
Tiffany Stratton was on the front seat watching tha match, but Naomi came from the back and took her out. Liv using the distraction fought back hitting her with a recoil and Oblivian for the win.
Round 5 Draft
Dudley Boyz came out with the tables to announce the Round 5 pick of the WWE Draft Night 2. Bubba Ray Dudley announced the Raw picks & D-Von Dudley announced the SmackDown picks.

World Tag Team Championship Match- Awesome Truth vs Alpha Academy
The match began during the commercial, with Truth & Tozawa starting the match. Both tagged Miz and Otis in, where Miz had the initial advantage. However Otis took Miz down with a powerslam and hit a Caterpillar. Miz and Truth hit the Truth Crushing Finale for the win to retain the World Tag Team Championship.
Backstage- Judgment Day
Dom is not happy with being in the Round 4 Draft. Priest said that they involve in his business, week after week and failed miserably. Priest says that he don’t need them to defeat Jey. JD is hurt with the accidental attack by Logan Paul ahead of their Six Man Tag Team Match.
Round 6 Draft
Both Raw and SmackDown General Managers, Adam Pearce & Nick Aldis came out to announce the final draft picks of Night 2.

Six Man Tag Team Match- Jey Uso, Ricochet & Andrade vs Judgment Day
Andrade & Finn Balor started the match & Balor took initial control locking his head. Andrade took Balor & McDonagh out of the ring and all the three took their opponents with a suicide dive.
Judgment Day after the commercial with back to back tag-ins took Ricochet in control. JD got tagged in and Ricochet hit him with a recoil. Balor and Jey tagged in, and Jey fired up hitting Balor with his signature strikes, step up enzigiri and cross body from the top rope.
JD breaks the pin, Andrade hit a back elbow on JD, Priest hit a roundhouse kick on Andrade and a Flatliner on Ricochet. Jey climbed the top rope, and Priest stopped Jey. However McDonagh pushed Jey, when Priest looks for the Suoth of Heaven Chokeslam. Jey super-kicked Priest which pushed Finn and eventually tagged him. Jey hit a spear and hit a Frog Splash on Balor to win the match. After the match, both have a face-off to end the show.

- Sami Zayn vs Bronson Reed’s Intercontinental Championship match ended in a no contest.
- Candice LeRae defeated Maxinne Dupri by pinfall.
- Liv Morgan defeated Nia Jax by pinfall.
- Awesome Truth defeated Alpha Academy to retain the World Tag Team Championship.
- Jey Uso, Andrade & Ricochet defeated Judgment Day.
