WWE RAW Results, Highlights & Winners (July 22, 2024): Seth Rollins to referee CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre!

Gunther & Priest brawl, Punk gets cleared, Referee Rollins, Howdy attacks Gable, Jey & Sami reunite & much more!!!
The July 22, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw is officially over and it is one of the must watch shows in recent times. WWE has showcased some of the interesting segments and matches, laying tha solid foundation for SummerSlam 2024. Get to know what happened this week on WWE Raw, as we came out with the complete show summary, highlights, results and winner’s list for the show.
WWE Raw Summary & Hightlights
Gunther & Damian Priest Brawl
Gunther kicks-off Monday Night Raw and tried to explain himself, saying that all he said to Damian Priest last week was true. He said that there is no reputation and prestige for the World Heavyweight Championship with Priest holding the title. He said that he kicked off Raw, because Damian doesn’t live up to it.
He said Priest came from fighting in the street and being the champion doesn’t change that he is a pretender and a wannabe. He believe that Judgment Day will involve in their match, as all of them are street trash. He asked Priest to handle the title to him and go home to the trailer park.
Damian Priest came to the ring and without a face punched Gunther on the face to kick-start a brawl. A bunch of securities and referees came to spearate them and they brawled all over the arena. They were asked to leave the building and was not seen throughout the show after that.
Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s Match- Bron Breakker vs Ilja Dragunov
Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov fought each other for the Intercontinental Championship match against Sami Zayn at SummerSlam 2024. Breakker dominated the initial part of the match, sending Drgunov face first to the apron and the ribs to the ring post.
Back in the ring, Breakker hit Dragunov knee to the guts and tried for a powerbomb, but Dragunov countered with a DDT. He chopped Bron in half, delivered a big boot and a clothesline to gain control. Dragunov delivered a powerpomb for a nearfall and went for the top rope, but Breakker hit him with a Franken Steiner. Bron climbed the top rope, but Ilja countered with a superplex and a H-Bomb.
Breakker rolled out to the apron and Dragunov delivered a slam on the apron. When looking for a H-Bomb from the apron to the floor, Breakker speared Ilja, which hurt him so bad, that the referee stopped the match. Breakker is announced as the winner & Dragunov got escorted by the medical staffs.
Backstage- The Judgment Day
Rhea Ripley was confident that the Judgment Day will be all gold, after she defeat Liv Morgan at SummerSlam. Dominik Mysterio asked Rhea, why she did the yeet, when Jey asked her phone number. Ripley said that she is just playing around. Balor steps in and told Dom, that they need to take care of Jey once for all, but Ripley didn’t want them to go after Jey.
Lyra Valkyria vs Sonya Deville
Sonya Deville took Lyra Valkyria down, but Lyra fights back to send Sonya Deville out od the ring. Lyra tried for a slide lick, but Deville moved away and threw Valkyria to the barricade. Back after the commercial, both took the fight to the top of the rope and Lyra delivered a super-plex.
Abby The Witch [VHS tape]
A Video Vignette of Nikki Cross (Abby The Witch) was played with Cross screaming loud.
CM Punk, Drew McIntyre & Seth Rollins
CM Punk got cheered up by the WWE Universe and he announced that he got medically cleared to compete. He doesn’t want to waste his time and called out Drew McIntyre. He started taping his hands for the fight and Drew McIntyre showed up. Drew waited so long for this moment, but didn’t wanna fight Punk tonight. But Punk raged towards him, but the securities separated him.
Adam Pearce said that Drew McIntyre is reinstated from the suspension and they are planning for something big with them. Pearce announced CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre match for SummerSlam 2024, with Seth Rollins as the Special Guest Referee.
Rollins walks to the ring and he said that he is not a problem maker, but a problem solver. He then officially announce that The Visionary will referee their match at SummerSlam.
Backstage-Judgment Day in search of Jey Uso
The Judgment Day were in search of Jey Uso and they splitted themselves to find Jey soon. Dom met Liv on the way and got caught by Finn.
Sami Zayn was interviewed backstage about Bron Breakker getting another title shot and he is ready for him. However a sound of a brawl is heard, where JD McDonagh and Carlito caught Jey and attacked him. Sami Zayn made the save and joined hands with his Uce.
Six-Man Tag Team Match- Final Testament vs Xavier Woods, Otis & Akira Tozawa
Xavier Woods and Karrion Kross started the match, however Kross tagged Rezar to set the stage for him. Woods tried to chop Rezar, but he overpowered him. Akam and Akira Tozawa got the tag, with Tozawa dominating Akam, by sending him out and delivering a suicide dive.
However things turned in favor of Final Testament after the commercial. Akam takes control of Tozawa and tags Kross in. Kross tossed Tozawa spinning him in the mid-air. Kross with a big right hand sends Woods out. Tozawa tags Otis in and he is fired up. Otis took all the three opponents down and delivered a caterpillar to Akam. Woods tags in and was fired up. However Kross with a Final Prayer to Woods pinned him and pick up the win.
Chad Gable & Creed Brothers meet Alpha Academy
After the match, Chad Gable with Creed Brothers met his former mates Otis, Akira Tozawa & Maxxine Dupri. He mocked them for losing their first match without him and offered a chance to join him again. However Otis refused it. Gable ordered the Creeds to attack them and they took them out. Gable gave them the chairs to strike, but the lights went off. The Wyatt Sicks came from the entrance way and Uncle Howdy appeared from the back and delivered a Sister Abigail on Chad Gable.
Bronson Reed vs Pete Dunne
Before the match began, Sheamus attacked Pete Dunne with the knee to the face. He then took Reed with the knee and delivered ten beats to the bodhran on Dunne. Sheamus looks for a brogue kick on Dunne, but he escapes, but Reed fall victim for the brogue.
Backstage- The Judgment Day
Finn Balor met Adam Pearce and made a tag team match official, where Finn Balor and JD McDonagh takes on Jey Uso and Sami Zayn tonight. He also called for a match with Gunther next week. Rhea Ripley said that they doesn’t want to have fight with Jey Uso. Rhea asked Finn and Dom, where were they when JD and Carlito got attacked by Jey and Sami. Finn said that she need to ask Liv and Ripley dragged Dom to the ring.
Backstage Interview- Sheamus
Sheamus addressed what’s going on with him, Pete Dunne and Bronson Reed. Sheamus wants to fix thinhs with Dunne sitting and sorting it out in a Irish bar, but if he wants fight, he will show who the real bruiserweight is.
Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan
Rhea Ripley dragged Dominik Mysterio to the ring and calls out Liv Morgan, if she wants Dom and asked her to come and get him. Liv stands on the Udience area and cuts a promo against Ripley. Liv says that she has feelings for Dom and Dom too have feelings for her, that nobody can deny. She says that gorgeous men like Dom like Liv and not Rhea.
Rhea Ripley pushed Dominik Mysterio and tied to attack Liv Morgan, but Dom stops her. Liv wants to hear the three words from Dom, but Dom says that he hates Liv and she is causing a lot of trouble. Lib cries and walks back, but Ripley licked and kissed Dom on his cheek.
Zelina Vega vs Zoey Stark
Zelina Vega with a broken arm fought Zoey Stark in a singles match. The injured arm was a trouble for Zelina during the beginning of the match, as Zoey kept on targetting it over and over. However Zoey maneged to fight with one hand and used her legs to take control. Vega with a step up enzigiri and a DDT opened the gate.
Vega delivered a moonsault, but only for a near fall. Vega looks for Code Red, but Zoey took Vega with a super kick. Zoey pushed Zoey positioning her for a 619, but Baszler pilled her legs. Lyra, Chance and Carter took Baszler and Sonya. Zelina with the braces took a couple of shots to the face and with a code red for the win.
Backstage Updates
Xavier Woods got his match with Karrion Kross next week from Adam Pearce.
Drew met Pearce and asked about why he made Seth as the referee, when both of them habe issues with Seth. Pearce saud that he has issues with ref anyways, but to stop havjng hands on ref, he made Rollins the referee. Next week Rollins will give referee instruction to Punk and Drew.
Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn will be on SmackDown to address Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill’s challenge.
Jey Uso & Sami Zayn vs Finn Balor & JD McDonagh
Finn Balor and Jey Uso started the match and Balor locked Jey’s head and locking him to the corner. Jey fights back with yeet punched, corner splash and a overhead kick. Sami Zayn gets tagged in, but JD McDonagh spoiled his momentum. JD sends Jey out of the ring, but Sami sent both their opponents out and deliver a springboard moonsault. Dom tried to attack Sami, and the referee went to seoarate Dom. However Carlito pushed Sami to the ring post.
Back after the commercial, JD with a cheap shot with Sami on the corner controlled the match throughout thr commercial. JD locks Sami’s haead. Sami reversed with a throw and Judgmebnt Day with back to back tag ins took Sami in control. Sami fights back with chops and with a Blue thunderbomb tk tag Jey in. He is fired and took both of them to the corner for a wrecking ball.
Balor fights back with a springboard and took Jey to the corner to tag JD. Balor gets the tag and both tried for a double team attack on Jey, but Jey hit a superkick on Balor. Sami and JD gets the tag and Sami looks for a Helluva kick, but Dom caught his leg. JD delivered a running Spanish Fly, but Jey tags in and both delivered a One D, but Balor breaks the fall.
Balor with a Sling Blade tried for a Cmdrop kick, but Jey hit with a super kick. Barlot however delivered a drop kick and with a Coupe De Grace. JD delivered a moonsault, but Sami breaks the fall. Sami delivered a Helluva kick on JD and flew over the other Judgment Day members. Jey delivered the Uso Splash to pick up the win.
After the match, Bron Breakker speared Sami Zayn and quickly retreated, when Jey tried to involve.

- Gunther & Damian Priest brawled and got kicked out of the building.
- Bron Breakker defeated Ilja Dragunov by referee stoppage to become the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
- Sonya Deville defeated Lyra Valkyria by pinfall.
- CM Punk got cleared to compete and the match with Drew McIntyre is announced for SummerSlam, with Seth Rollins as the Special Guest Referee.
- Final Testament defeated Xavier Woods, Otis & Akira Tozawa.
- Pete Dunne vs Bron Breakker got cancelled before the bell, as Sheamus’ attacked both.
- Zelina Vega defeated Zoey Stark by pinfall.
- Jey Uso & Sami Zayn defeated Finn Balor & JD McDonagh by pinfall.
