The PLE featured five matches that delivered as promised, with five matches including two WarGames clashes and three title matches.

Get to know what happened this Monday, as we have the complete summary, highlights, results, and winner’s list for the 12/02 episode of WWE Raw.

WWE Raw Summary and Highlights

CM Punk, Seth Rollins & Sami Zayn segment

“The Second City Saint” CM Punk‘s music hit as he entered the arena and greeted the crowd. CM Punk kicked off Monday Night Raw, picking up the mic and asking the Everett crowd if it was good to be alive!

Punk addressed his Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre and his recent WarGames match. He stated that he was a lot less beat up today than he had been after Bad Blood 2024.

The Second City Saint climbed to the top rope and said he knew what the future held for him, pointing to where the WrestleMania sign usually was.

Punk hinted that he might take the Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber and then stated that he had a favor in his pick that he could use any time.

Seth Rollins’ music hit as The Visionary made his way into the arena. Rollins stepped into the ring, eyeing Punk, who was standing on the other side of the ring.

The Visionary smiled at Punk as “CM Punk” chants filled the arena. Rollins picked up the mic and stated that he had been thinking a lot about how he should have knocked Punk out the same day he came to WWE.

The Visionary said that over the past year, a lot had happened to Punk, who got hurt while Rollins had titles to defend. He added that the last time he saw Punk, he was very close to taking his shot but had pity for The Second City Saint.

Rollins declared that it was time to rectify his mistake. He removed his blazer, threw it aside, and stated that there was nothing in their way, no one holding them back, and tonight he would knock CM Punk on his a**!

The Second City Saint stated that Rollins talked too much and didn’t listen. He reminded Rollins that six months ago, Rollins had something he wanted, but now he had nothing.

Punk said he was thinking about the future, and Rollins wasn’t part of it, adding that he hadn’t been thinking about Rollins the way Rollins was about him. He then warned Rollins to stay out of his business as he stepped forward.

Rollins retorted that Punk talked too much and didn’t listen. Seth pushed Punk and called him on, leading to a collision between the two. Jey Uso and CM Punk darted into the arena to separate them. “Let them fight!” chants filled the arena as Zayn and Jey diffused the situation. GM Adam Pearce and WWE security walked in, while Rollins called Punk again, asking if Punk was his business now.

Rollins then yelled at Jey to run to Roman Reigns like he always did. Sami Zayn interrupted, telling Rollins not to talk to Jey like that. Rollins hit back, saying that while Jey was family, Sami wasn’t, and questioned Sami’s excuse for being involved.

Rollins stated that if Zayn was family with Reigns, then he should be family with him too, accusing Zayn of stabbing him in the back when he teamed up with CM Punk.

Zayn reminded Rollins that he didn’t want Punk as a partner, but he wanted Rollins. However, Rollins was the one who refused to join forces twice because he was too damn stubborn.

Rollins asked Zayn to remind him why he wanted him to team up—to help “the monster” Roman Reigns gain power. Zayn responded, reminding Seth that he was the one who created the monster when he put the chair in his back.

Seth stated that he had apologized for all his mistakes, but Zayn needed to look into the mirror, as Zayn had done the same thing.

Rollins said that he understood why Zayn did what he did and asked if Roman Reigns had apologized to anybody, as neither he nor CM Punk had changed.

Seth told Zayn that right now, he was being very stupid. Zayn replied that if Rollins wanted to get all the frustration out of his system, he had an idea and floated the idea of a match tonight. The Visionary agreed with the idea and left the arena, with a match between the two seemingly set.

Backstage

The Judgement Day is in their clubhouse as Liv Morgan reminded Finn Balor that they had all agreed to keep their distance from Damian Priest.

Balor reminded Morgan that if she had listened to him, she should have won WarGames, and now she would have to defend his title against Iyo Sky at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Morgan replied that he needed to watch his back as each of them went their separate ways.

Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane) vs Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

Morgan and Kairi Sane started the action as Raquel took out Iyo, who broke the early pin attempt. Sane tagged in Sky, who took out Morgan and rallied the crowd behind her.

Raquel tried to attack Sky, but Sky took out the enforcer. Liv tried to capitalize on the distraction but got suplexed by Sky.

Iyo went to the top rope again, but Morgan quickly stopped her and tagged Raquel. Rodriguez picked up Sky, who was hanging upside down, but Sky countered and landed a missile dropkick from the top rope. Sane and Rodriguez continued the action, with Rodriguez taking out Sane with a big boot.

After the match, Raquel attacked Iyo Sky, who tried to help her teammate. Rhea Ripley’s music hit as she darted into the arena and attacked Raquel. Morgan rushed out of the ring as Ripley took out Raquel and went for the attack.

Rhea bounced Raquel’s head off the announcer’s desk as Morgan tried to take control, but Ripley crushed Morgan on the ring post. Raquel intervened and pushed Ripley’s eye first into the announcer’s desk. Chaos broke out as security tried to separate them and diffuse the situation.

Backstage

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther was with Cathy Kelley when Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio walked in and asked for a title shot, claiming that Gunther owed Balor a title match.

Gunther replied that he didn’t owe Balor anything and that he hadn’t asked Balor to help him. Gunther reminded them that Dominik Mysterio was more confident than Balor because, unlike Finn, Dominik had a win over Damian Priest.

Gunther then stated that he had some pull as the Heavyweight Champion and that he would go talk to Adam Pearce about a match with Dominik Mysterio.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament: Dakota Kai vs Katana Chance vs Shayna Baszler

Dakota, Shayna, and Katana all made their way for the first match of the tournament. Kai was in control early in the match as she looked to take out Shayna with a suicide dive, but Baszler intercepted and landed her own offense.

Katana took out Shayna with a frog splash from the top rope. Back from commercials, Kai and Baszler continued the triple threat action inside the ring.

Katana once again took out Baszler and Kai, trying to go for the cover but failing. Chance tried to land another high-flying move, but Shayna caught her. Katana attempted to roll her up for a quick cover, but Dakota broke the pin. Shayna landed a brutal knee and went for the cover, but Katana kicked out.

Shayna locked Dakota in a choke as she looked to pick up the win, but Katana went to the top rope for a frog splash. Kai moved out of harm’s way, Shayna ate the splash, and Kai landed a brutal knee on Katana, going for the cover. Dakota Kai picked up the win to advance in the IC title tournament.

The New Day 10th Anniversary Celebration

General Manager Adam Pearce was in the arena, welcoming Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston for the celebrations.

Kofi and Woods made their way to the ring, amazed by the decorations, which felt like a walk down memory lane for them. Pearce congratulated Woods, and Kofi spoke on behalf of the WWE Universe, thanking the New Day and starting the “New Day Rocks!” chant.

The Everett crowd started chanting as Woods picked up the mic and stated that being successful in WWE for ten years was more than anything they could ever dream of. He then thanked the WWE Universe.

Kofi picked up the mic and said that he hadn’t even thought in his wildest dreams about the accomplishments the faction had achieved, and he thanked the crowd.

Woods then told the crowd that he had nothing but love for the WWE fandom and that it wasn’t their fault. Kofi stated that they had thought about it when suddenly Big E’s music hit. The powerhouse of the faction was back!

Big E stepped into the ring as Woods and Kofi looked genuinely happy to see him. Big E stated that he wished he was there under different circumstances because seeing the two of them argue and bicker troubled his soul.

The former champion reminded Woods and Kofi that ten years ago, all they had was each other. Their careers were in limbo, but they were there for each other.

The former champion reminded his two bickering stablemates of their moments together, standing united in both the good and bad times.

Big E emphasized that the faction meant a lot to many people, including himself, and stated that until he was medically cleared to compete in the ring, he would be there to cheer for them and would be present every Monday to serve as New Day’s manager. Woods picked up the mic as “New Day Rocks!” chants filled the arena.

Woods furiously asked why E wanted to come back now, at their lowest. He reminded Big E that he had left them. Big E pleaded that he had broken his neck, which was why he hadn’t been there.

Kofi agreed that the former champion left them, but then reminded him that Stone Cold, Edge, and many others had broken their necks and came back.

Kofi and Woods went off on Big E, questioning if he wouldn’t return if he didn’t want to. Kofi stated that if Big E cared for them, he would have been there a long time ago, but instead, he chose his new girlfriend and his desk job over them.

Woods reminded Big E that he had become a burden for the New Day, and Kofi stated that their philosophy had always been “New Day above all!” but Big E had chosen himself over them.

Woods then asked Big E to tell the crowd that he would never be medically cleared and told him to go backstage and join his desk, adding that they would call him when they needed him.

Big E refused and said that they could fix things. He asked for a hug, but Kofi stopped him in his tracks. Big E pleaded with Woods, but Xavier didn’t respond.

Heartbroken, Big E left the ring as Kofi turned to Xavier. Woods then stated, “It’s just me and you, just us, bro!”

Karrion Kross

A pre-recorded video of Karrion Kross played as he summarized the developments of last week when Nikki Cross attacked his wife, Scarlett.

Kross vowed to get revenge, reminding the Wyatt Sicks that their tactics had worked. He stated that while the Wyatt Sicks had started the fire, they would soon burn in it themselves. “Tick-Tock!” he added.

Gunther vs Dominik Mysterio

The bell rang as the match got underway. Gunther picked up Dominik Mysterio and patted him on the head, but Dirty Dom retaliated with a slap, which prompted Gunther to land a big boot.

Dirty Dom rallied back, taking out the Ring General, and the match rolled into a commercial break. When the action returned, Gunther was in control, locking Dirty Dom in a Boston crab.

Dominik made his way to the ropes to break the submission, and the two stars exchanged chops. Gunther then locked in a sleeper hold but accidentally took out the WWE official. Dirty Dom capitalized by landing a low blow on the champion, followed by a 619 and a frog splash from the top rope, going for the cover.

Gunther somehow kicked out at two after all that punishment. The champion rallied back, landing a brutal powerbomb on Dominik to pick up the win at the fallout show.

After the match, Finn Balor landed a Slingblade on Gunther and followed it up with a Coup de Grâce from the top rope.

Balor then walked up to Dirty Dom and said, “Watch and learn, kid!” before delivering multiple Coup de Grâces to Gunther and picking up the World Heavyweight Championship. Everett’s crowd erupted in a “One more time!” chant as the scene transitioned backstage.

Backstage

Cathy Kelley was backstage with Pete Dunne, asking him if R-Truth knew who he was fighting tonight. Dunne pleaded with Kelley not to mention R-Truth’s name and sent a warning to R-Truth ahead of their clash. As he was about to continue, a commotion suddenly erupted in the back.

The camera panned to reveal Adam Pearce and WWE security rushing to check on Jey Uso, who had been attacked. Pearce checked on Jey as the scene transitioned, and the broadcast rolled into commercials.

Pete Dunne vs R-Truth

Back from the commercials, Pete Dunne made his way to the ring for the grudge match, with R-Truth already waiting in the arena.

Dunne charged at Truth, attacking his neck, while the crowd continued chanting “Butch,” which only further angered Dunne.

Dunne remained in control, landing multiple punches, but he was distracted by a crowd member yelling “Butch.” R-Truth capitalized on the distraction, rolling Dunne into a cover and picking up the win in the grudge match.

Backstage

Cathy Kelley interviewed Bron Breakker, asking him about the triple threat match at Survivor Series: WarGames.

As Breakker began to speak, Ludwig Kaiser walked in and asked if Breakker was happy with himself. Kaiser stated that he only wanted to get his revenge on Sheamus, who had broken his rib earlier, saying, “A rib for a rib!”

Kaiser then declared that he wanted another shot at the IC title. Breakker responded that he would speak to Adam Pearce and get it done, but reminded Kaiser that he would never be able to hold the IC title.

Breakker ended by stating that he was proud of Kaiser, as he had finally started to come out of the shadows of Gunther.

Adam Pearce was backstage when Sami Zayn walked in, asking the general manager who attacked Jey Uso. Pearce replied that he didn’t know for sure but asked Zayn the same question with a slight hint.

Zayn then stated that he knew exactly who attacked Jey and that he was heading to the ring to put a beating on him.

Adam Pearce was on the phone when Finn Balor walked in, asking if Pearce had seen what he did to Gunther earlier.

Balor then asked for a shot against Gunther. Pearce replied that he had already spoken to Gunther, and Gunther wanted the match just as badly as Finn did.

Pearce made the match official, announcing Gunther vs. Balor for Saturday Night’s Main Event. Pearce ended the segment by saying they should also discuss Balor’s tag title situation.

Seth Rollins vs Sami Zayn

The bell rang as Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn collided in the ring, with the crowd chanting “Sami Uso!” The match continued with both stars battering each other.

Zayn climbed to the top rope and landed multiple shots on the Visionary. He took Rollins out from the top rope and tried to do the same again, but Rollins intercepted. Zayn landed a thunder bomb and went for the cover, but Rollins kicked out at two.

Seth tried to rally back, but Zayn countered with an exploder and looked for the Helluva Kick. Rollins intercepted again, taking Zayn out with a brutal kick. He now looked for the Stomp, but Sami cleverly rolled out of the ring.

Rollins followed Zayn as they argued, with Seth yelling that his fight was with CM Punk, not him. Sami responded that it was Rollins who attacked Jey Uso. The two started fighting, with Rollins throwing Zayn into the ring post.

Seth went outside the ring again and threw Sami into the timekeeper’s area, reiterating that it wasn’t him. Zayn attacked with a big boot and pushed Rollins into the ring post. Sami grabbed a chair, and Rollins asked what he was doing. Zayn yelled that he knew Seth attacked Jey.

Seth pleaded with Sami to use his head and asked if he had asked Punk about it. Zayn threw the chair down, and Rollins was able to convince him. The Visionary then rolled up Zayn for a quick cover, picking up the win in the main event.

After the match, Seth Rollins reiterated that he didn’t attack Jey Uso and told Sami Zayn that he loved his warrior spirit. Then, Drew McIntyre made his surprise return!

Drew entered the ring, and as Zayn turned around, McIntyre delivered a devastating Claymore to Sami, taking out the Canadian. With Zayn down, Monday Night Raw concluded.
