The Second City Saint returned to Raw this week.

The December 15 episode of Monday Night Raw will emanate live from the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The episode will serve as the fallout show for the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, where John Cena bid farewell to the WWE Universe.

With John Cena’s final match in the rearview, along with the final PLE and show of 2025, WWE will shift its focus to 2026 and the first PLE of the year, the Royal Rumble, which will emanate from Saudi Arabia.

WWE Raw Summary and Highlights

WWE RAW kicked off with a video package recapping John Cena’s final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, setting the stage for the man responsible for ending it. Moments later, Gunther made his way to the ring to a chorus of loud boos from the crowd. The Ring General soaked in the hostility, climbing onto the announce table and posing with confidence as the audience made their displeasure clear.

Gunther briefly grabbed a microphone and coldly bragged about forcing Cena to tap out, a statement that drew even more heat. He dropped the mic and began to leave, only to turn back and return to the ring to pose once again, smiling as the boos intensified. Just when it seemed like he was finally done, Gunther doubled down, continuing to gloat about his victory and reminding everyone exactly who stood tall at SNME.

The segment stayed true to one of Gunther’s greatest strengths: simplicity. There was no long-winded promo or unnecessary confrontation. He said very little, yet accomplished a lot by letting his presence and the crowd’s reaction tell the story.

Cameras followed Gunther backstage as he mocked several WWE Superstars. Adam Pearce eventually confronted him and ordered him to leave for the night. Gunther complied, driving off while sarcastically mimicking Cena’s hand gesture at AJ Styles. Short and effective, the segment perfectly reinforced Gunther’s dominance and ability to draw instant heat.

Grade: B

Moments & Insights:

  • Adam Pearce told Gunther to leave the arena, and Gunther exited while mocking Cena’s hand gesture toward AJ Styles.
  • This segment perfectly showcased why Gunther is one of WWE’s most effective heels. He didn’t rely on a long promo or physical confrontation to make an impact. Instead, his confidence, body language, and timing did all the work.

The Usos vs New Day

The Usos made their entrance first on WWE RAW to take on longtime rivals Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, instantly reigniting one of the most familiar tag team feuds in WWE history.

Grayson Waller accompanied The New Day to ringside, looking to give them an added edge. Jimmy Uso and Kofi Kingston started the match with a classic lockup, trading headlocks and counters that highlighted how well these teams know each other after years of competition.

The match was solid from start to finish, though it didn’t quite reach the classic level fans have come to expect whenever these two teams collide. It wasn’t a poor outing by any means, but it felt like it was missing an extra gear. The pace improved once Waller was ejected from ringside for interference, removing The New Day’s advantage.

The final stretch was the strongest portion of the match, with near falls and momentum swings keeping the outcome in doubt. In the end, The Usos sealed the victory by connecting with the 1D, earning a decisive win on RAW.

Winner: The Usos

Grade: B

Moments & Insights:

  • Grayson Waller attempted to influence the match from ringside before being ejected for interference.
  • The match leaned more on familiarity and storytelling than high-risk spots, which made it feel steady but slightly below the classic standard these teams have set.

Maxxine Dupri vs Ivy Nile

Maxxine Dupri defended the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on WWE RAW against former ally Ivy Nile in a match built around growth and resilience.

Dupri entered with confidence, clearly determined to prove she could stand on her own, but Nile’s power and mat control quickly put the champion on the defensive. Ivy dominated early, grounding Maxxine and exposing her lingering inexperience.

Throughout the match, Dupri relied heavily on submission offense, a clear sign of her continued training under Natalya. While she showed improved technique and composure, the presentation still leaned into her underdog status, portraying her as a champion who survives rather than overwhelms.

That approach fits the story of her reign, though it also highlights that she has yet to fully shed the “rookie” label despite being on the main roster for several years.

As the match wore on, Dupri’s growing confidence became more apparent. Nile repeatedly countered her attempts, but Maxxine stayed focused, returning to the Ankle Lock until it finally forced the tap out. The win reinforced Dupri’s grit while underscoring that her evolution is still very much a work in progress.

Winner: Maxxine Dupri

Grade: B+

Moments and backstage insights:

  • Paul Heyman claimed he has no idea who the masked individual assisting them in recent weeks is.
  • Ivy Nile made her way to the ring without a televised entrance.
  • Nile’s sudden powerbomb came out of nowhere and was one of the match’s strongest visual moments.
  • Maxxine Dupri’s top-rope leap appeared awkward and lacked smooth execution.

Stephanie Vaquer vs Raquel Rodriguez

Stephanie Vaquer defended the Women’s World Championship against Raquel Rodriguez on WWE RAW following a CM Punk promo that went uninterrupted.

Rodriguez chose to keep Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez backstage, signaling her intent to win the title on her own. Using her size and power, Raquel controlled large portions of the match, but Vaquer consistently fought back and kept the action competitive.

Despite Rodriguez’s offense, Vaquer never truly felt in danger of losing the championship, which slightly reduced the drama of the title bout.

Still, both women delivered a solid performance and showed improved chemistry from their previous encounters. The match ultimately ended without a clear winner, as Nikki Bella suddenly attacked both competitors, forcing the referee to throw out the contest and leaving the title situation unresolved.

Winner: No contest

Grade: B

Moments and backstage insights:

  • Ludwig Kaiser cutting Spanish promos with his Austrian accent was an unintentionally funny highlight.
  • Raquel Rodriguez’s clear size advantage wasn’t fully reflected in her dominance, making Stephanie Vaquer feel less like the underdog than she should have.
  • Nikki Bella came across far more comfortable and convincing in her heel role.

Rey Mysterio vs Logan Paul

Rey Mysterio and Logan Paul clashed on WWE RAW with plenty of bad blood already established between the two.

The opening moments were competitive, as both men fought for control in the corner before Paul tried to taunt Mysterio, only to be shut down with a sharp slap to the face.

Paul bent the rules by using his championship belt as a weapon, oddly without much interference from the referee, giving him brief control of the match. Mysterio shifted momentum before the break with a spectacular moonsault from the apron to the floor.

The bout delivered solid action, featuring several impressive high-flying sequences from both competitors. Paul once again showed how much he has progressed in the ring, continuing to improve with every outing.

Chaos erupted late when Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker approached ringside, only for CM Punk to chase them off with a chair. With the referee distracted, a masked attacker hit Mysterio with a Stomp, allowing Paul to land a splash for the victory.

CM Punk returned moments later as the masked man was revealed to be Austin Theory, and the confusion opened the door for Breakker to crush the champion with a massive Spear.

Winner: Logan Paul

Grade: B+

Moments and backstage insights:

  • It was amusing to see Joe Tessitore self-censor words that had already been said uncensored earlier in the show.
  • A lighthearted backstage moment featured Lyra Valkyria enthusiastically pumping up Bayley.
  • Logan Paul’s sell of Rey Mysterio’s headscissors looked awkward, as if he was unsure of the move and reacted too late.
