WWE Raw Summary and Highlights

Logan Paul – CM Punk

The Maverick stepped into the ring and picked up the mic to address the Cincinnati crowd. Paul addressed his fellow Ohio crowd as they continued raining down boos. Paul called the city depressing and stated that he wanted to go home, but he was righteous and humble, which was why he chose to perform that night, as the city didn’t respect talent.

Logan then reminded everyone that he had defeated Rey Mysterio to qualify for the Elimination Chamber PLE, and now he would defeat everyone to go to WrestleMania and beat Cody Rhodes. CM Punk’s music hit, and The Second City Saint arrived in Cincinnati! “CM Punk” chants filled the arena as the Second City Saint stepped into the ring and picked up the mic.

Paul looked confused as he asked what the crowd’s problem was with him, then asked if Punk was jealous of him because he succeeded in everything he did outside of the ring while Punk failed at everything. Punk replied, stating that he didn’t know Logan well enough to have a problem with him; it was just business.

Punk then called Logan a loudmouth and stated that the crowd deserved better. Paul fired back, reminding Punk that he had cracked under pressure and torn his biceps because he couldn’t handle it. Logan stated that it was only a matter of time before the crowd would start chanting his name. Once again, the crowd erupted in “CM Punk” chants.

Punk asked if they should wait for the crowd to chant his name and reminded the young star that he was one of the legends and history makers. He declared that Logan wasn’t going to be there long enough for the crowd to remember who he was.

The Second City Saint then cut a promo ahead of the men’s Chamber PLE and revealed that he didn’t care if Cody Rhodes sold his soul.

Punk stated that he was ‘Satan’ himself and that Logan, in this business, was a ‘nobody’! Logan and Punk came face to face as Logan slapped the Second City Saint and rolled out of the arena laughing, while Punk sent a warning ahead of the Chamber PLE.

Morgan then asked if it even mattered if they won the title, as long as the title stayed in Judgment Day. Balor replied that it didn’t and then stated that they weren’t worried about Belair and Naomi, especially after what stunt they pulled with Jade Cargill.

Balor added that they were bringing too many problems to Judgment Day’s doorstep. Morgan responded that they had nothing to do with it and that it didn’t matter anymore they would handle business tonight. Balor agreed as the segment ended.

Gunther

The Ring General was in the ring as the crowd started booing. Gunther picked up the mic and revealed that he was in action tonight, but before that, he recapped Jey Uso choosing him for WrestleMania 41. Gunther mocked Jey and revealed that he had met with General Manager Adam Pearce and handpicked his opponent for tonight.

The Ring General then announced that Akira Tozawa was his opponent. Tozawa walked in, visibly scared, as Maxxine Dupree and Otis tried to rally him. Tozawa stepped into the ring as Gunther explained why he picked him for the match tonight.

Gunther said that when he walked into the building and saw Tozawa making the stupid TikTok dance with the two clowns (Otis and Maxxine), he knew he had made the wrong choice.

The Ring General stated that Tozawa was making the same mistakes as Jey Uso, and maybe Akira could earn his respect something Jey Uso couldn’t. Gunther pushed Tozawa as the bell rang, and Tozawa fired back!

On the second rope, the champions rolled under. Valkyria picked up Kai and landed a slam. She went for the cover, and Lyra Valkyria pinned Dakota Kai to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. After the match, Valkyria and Kai embraced, showing mutual respect.

Sami Zayn

The promotion aired an interview clip where Jackie Redmond asked Sami Zayn about what had happened last week, referring to Kevin Owens stalking Zayn and his family at their house. Zayn replied that he, too, had gone to Kevin Owens’ house, but nobody was home except for KO’s mother, whom he had met and had a conversation with.

Zayn stated that his intentions were not good and that he didn’t recognize himself in the situation, as family was never meant to be involved. Sami then cut a promo for their unsanctioned match, stating that the promotion should have been more concerned with what he was going to do to Kevin Owens.

Rollins then cut a promo for the men’s Chamber match, stating that he wasn’t out there for all that talk about challenging Rhodes at WrestleMania but to ask what he was thinking. Rollins reminded Rhodes of their clash against The Rock and Roman Reigns last year and asked why Cody hadn’t slapped The Rock in the face.

Seth asked Cody not to forget how much he sacrificed for Cody to become the Undisputed WWE Champion. Rhodes replied, stating that Rollins sounded awfully judgmental and mentioned that The Rock asked for his soul because he knew Rollins’ soul was compromised.

Cody then reminded Rollins of who he was and acknowledged his contribution to Cody realizing his and his family’s dream of him becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion. Rollins stated that he wasn’t there to judge him, but in some way, he was there to protect him from those mistakes he made, which filled him with hate. He didn’t want to hate Cody.

Rollins said that he was going to the Chamber to win and wanted to go to Mania to face a Cody Rhodes who beat him and took him to his limit, not a soulless Cody Rhodes.

“The man I want to face is the man who came back and beat me at WrestleMania 38.
