The promotion also announced two singles matches along with two tag-team matches for the show.

As the build towards Saturday Night’s Main Event and Money in the Bank 2025 starts, get to know what happened this Monday, as we have the complete summary, highlights, results, and winners’ list for the 05/12 episode of WWE Raw.

WWE Raw Summary and Highlights

CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Sami Zayn & Jey Uso

The Second City Saint picked up the mic, stating that he was pissed off, having waited a few weeks while nursing an injury. Punk said he was most upset with himself because he had been in this situation before, Paul Heyman had betrayed him once, and he thought he had moved past it. He recapped how Heyman had turned on him 12 years ago.

Punk then apologized to Jey Uso, who had warned him about trusting Heyman, calling him a “fat little snake.” He also expressed frustration with “Temu CM Punk” and Seth Rollins. Punk finished by stating that he knew how this would end and warned Heyman that he would “squeeze his fat little neck.”

Paul Heyman stepped in, but Punk wasn’t in the mood for conversation. He demanded to know what Heyman had to say, warning him to choose his words wisely. Just then, Seth Rollins, accompanied by Bron Breakker, appeared on the entrance ramp, joining Heyman. Punk remarked that Rollins was “just a song,” and that at some point, the bell would ring.

Rollins grabbed the mic and said that just when he thought Punk wouldn’t be selfish, he found a way to top himself. He reminded Punk that while Heyman had once been his best friend, he had made life hell for him during WrestleMania 41, and now Punk was gaslighting him in front of the fans.

The Visionary went on to say that Heyman had believed in him when no one else did, before calling Punk some harsh names. Rollins claimed that Punk was the reason he wasn’t currently World Heavyweight Champion. Punk fired back, saying Rollins would never be champion as long as he was on his two feet.

Rollins asked Punk what his “deal” was, if he wanted to be on the wrong side of history, and then had a realization, saying that Punk loved to play the victim. He asked if Punk wanted to die a martyr, revealing that it could be “arranged.”

Rollins then sent Bron Breakker to the ring, and the brawl began as Breakker battered Punk. Rollins joined in, and Punk fought back, taking out Breakker before going after Rollins. However, the numbers game caught up with him. Just then, Sami Zayn came down to fight Breakker and Rollins.

Breakker tossed Zayn across the ring, but as Punk and Rollins continued to brawl two-on-one, Rollins directed Heyman to bring him a steel chair. Suddenly, Jey Uso appeared, superkicking Rollins. Breakker came to his defense, and the two of them began battering Jey.

Punk and Zayn then grabbed steel chairs, and with the odds now even, Breakker and Rollins retreated with Heyman. Punk called them out, but the “Trifecta of Terror” wisely retreated backstage.

Penta vs Chad Gable

In the first match of the evening, Penta battled El Grande Americano’s “associate” and American Made’s leader Chad Gable. The luchador suffered problems in the beginning of the match as Gable targeted his left arm.

In the final moments of the match, Gable and Penta were on the top rope as Gable continued to trash-talk as he was closing in on the victory, but then Penta countered, sending Gable crashing down before landing the Mexican Destroyer. Gable is still unable to master the ‘dark arts’ of lucha libre and might need some help from El Grande Americano.

Backstage

Inside Judgment Day’s clubhouse, Raquel Rodriguez was visibly missing Liv Morgan, and Carlito was doing his best to console her. Dominik Mysterio walked in, mentioning that Liv Morgan’s movie was going great, as Raquel asked about her tag partner. He then expressed confusion about time zones before turning his attention to Finn Balor, asking why he hesitated with the steel chair at Backlash.

Balor replied, saying that Dom was being paranoid, much like Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley had been when they were champions. Balor then went on to prepare for his match against AJ Styles, while JD McDonagh, Carlito, and Raquel took the time to teach “Dirty Dom” about time zones.

CM Punk was in the locker room when Sami Zayn walked in, asking if he was ready for the match. Punk admitted that he was having a hard time trusting anyone.

Zayn shared that he’d experienced the same issue during WarGames last year, but things had turned out great. He asked Punk once more if he was ready, then added, “Let’s go to war at SNME.” Punk agreed, and the scene transitioned back to the ring for the tag match.

War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs American Made (Julius & Brutus Creed)

Former Tag Champions, War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) battled American Made’s Julius & Brutus Creed in a tag match to determine the number one contender for the World Tag Team titles, which is currently held by the New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) who were on the commentary for this match.

While the Creed Brothers showcased their ability and provided a tough opposition, it seemed like the War Raiders were inching on the victory. However, in the final moments of the match, Erik took out Brutus with a vicious elbow but Xavier Woods interfered and started arguing with him as Kofi Kingston struck Ivar with the headset, helping American Made to defeat the War Raiders.

Backstage

Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman were in the locker room, with Rollins stating that “they” might think they’re winning the battle and that he may have underestimated them. However, Rollins made it clear that “they” had no idea what he was truly capable of. He then asked Bron to do one more thing before he took off. Rollins whispered something in Breakker’s ear, causing Bron to smirk before Rollins exited the room.

Meanwhile, Jey Uso was backstage with General Manager Adam Pearce. The two had just finished a conversation, where Pearce told Jey he wanted him to hear “this” from him first. The two shared an embrace before Pearce left.

Cathy Kelley was backstage with A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) and began addressing the tensions between the two. Before she could continue, Waller interrupted, claiming it was all just a misunderstanding.

Theory then stated that he could beat Sheamus and would have no problem doing so if he had a bit more time. Waller mentioned he’d had a conversation with General Manager Adam Pearce, but before he could elaborate, Theory cut him off. Theory revealed that he, too, had spoken with the GM, and next week, Waller would face Sheamus in a match!

Jey Uso – Gunther

Jey Uso picked up the mic, stating that he had a big target on his back that he needed to get off his chest. He called out Logan Paul, claiming that Paul had been ducking him. Jey declared that at Saturday Night’s Main Event, it would just be the two of them in the ring.

Jey then stated, “At SNME, I’ll still be our World He…” but before he could finish, the familiar music of The Ring General hit, and out came Gunther. He picked up the mic and stated that the unimaginable had come true, Jey was the champion.

Gunther revealed that his stance on Jey hadn’t changed. He pointed out that, unlike him, Jey wasn’t a “natural champion.” The Ring General declared that the winner of Jey vs. Logan Paul at SNME would get the chance to hand the title over to its rightful owner, The Ring General.

Gunther then announced that he would challenge the winner of that match next month on June 9th in Phoenix, Arizona. He finished by saying that he would silence the crowd and remind Jey of his place. Jey fired back, stating that his place was right here, as he ran this place. After he took care of the “YouTuber,” he’d defeat Gunther again. The two locked eyes in a tense stare-down before Gunther smirked and left the ring.

Backstage

The War Raiders were with General Manager Adam Pearce, visibly livid over the New Day. They demanded a match that night.

The New Day walked in, mocking the War Raiders, reminding them that they fought for the titles and that the Raiders should do the same. Pearce intervened, announcing that American Made were next in line for the title. He added, with a bit of frustration, that since the New Day had been a pain in his ass, the match would be a triple-threat!

Jackie Redmond was with Ludwig Kaiser, asking about his breakout year in 2024 and why we hadn’t seen much of him this year.

Before Kaiser could respond, a loud bang echoed in the background. The camera followed the noise, revealing Bron Breakker, who had taken out Jey Uso. Security and officials rushed in to remove Breakker from the situation. Sami Zayn ran in to check on his friend as we cut back to the ring, where Finn Balor made his entrance, accompanied by Carlito and JD McDonagh.

AJ Styles vs Finn Balor

A fan favorite matchup where AJ Styles and Finn Balor met for the fourth time inside the squared circle, Balor’s Judgment Day stablemates Carlito and JD McDonagh were ringside during the match and caused interference whenever Balor was in trouble.

However, an unlikely ally emerged for Styles as Penta, who has his problems with the Judgment Day, came in to even the odds. Penta took care of both JD McDonagh and Carlito at the ringside as the action continued, and Styles seized the opportunity, landing the Phenomenal Forearm to defeat Finn Balor.

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch stepped into the ring and sat on the ropes as the production crew handed her the mic. The Man began by stating that she wasn’t beaten on Saturday, Lyra was. She pointed out that one of them was taken to the hospital while the other basked in their brilliance with tequila.

Becky acknowledged that she had given Lyra the best match of her career, despite Lyra assassinating her character. She then reflected on the moment after the match, where instead of hearing defeat, she realized how she had been manipulated, not just by Lyra, but by all the fans. Lynch revealed that her near year-long absence was because of the fans.

She blasted the crowd, claiming that all they knew was failure, which was why they turned on her when she won. She said she was happy to be away from their lies and, from now on, would no longer fight against what they said. If they thought she was greedy, selfish, or cutthroat, then she would embrace it all. The Man then sent a warning to the entire roster, declaring that the fire inside her had not gone out!

Backstage

General Manager Adam Pearce was backstage with Maxine Dupri and Natalya when Akira Tozawa asked for a match against Rusev. Pearce acknowledged the request, calling it brave, but explained he couldn’t make the match unless Tozawa was medically cleared. Natalya and Maxine pleaded with him, and Tozawa insisted that he was ready to go.

Just then, Sheamus walked in, praising Tozawa for his courage. He then spoke with Pearce, suggesting that he wanted to keep his momentum going and floated the idea of a match between himself and Grayson Waller next week. Pearce loved the idea and made the match official for next week!

Iyo Sky & Rhea Ripley vs Roxanne Perez & Giulia

In the main event of the show, Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky teamed up with Rhea Ripley to battle NXT’s standout stars Roxanne Perez and Giulia. The tag team clash was Giulia’s Monday Night Raw in-ring debut.

The four women proved why they are the main event of the show, delivering an amazing performance as the NXT stars put up an amazing fight. In the closing moments, Perez and Giulia worked together to take out Ripley, but Sky quickly landed a backbreaker on Giulia, followed by an elbow.

As Sky stood on the top rope, Ripley tagged herself in. Perez went flying from the top rope on the other side, but Rhea pushed Giulia, causing Giulia to be unintentionally taken out by Perez. Ripley then landed a headbutt followed by the Riptide on Giulia, securing the pin to win in the main event. After the match, as Sky and Ripley celebrated the win, Ripley was eyeing the World title.
