WWE Raw Summary and Highlights
John Cena’s Last Time in Boston

WWE CCO Paul ‘Triple H’ kicked off the show, making the case for why he believes John Cena is the greatest of all time, before introducing the hometown hero. Cena expressed his gratitude to the fans and revealed that the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event would also feature exhibition bouts between main roster and NXT superstars, a gesture to usher in the next generation as his own era comes to a close.
IC Champion Dominik Mysterio interrupted Cena and complained about Rey Mysterio. A chorus of boos and colorful chants followed as Cena warned Mysterio to back off and retreat, as he had picked the wrong time against an Invincible force. Dirty Dom not backing down, claimed that he is not even at his peak, yet he is better than Cena at his prime. He also claimed that, anytime, place, or era, he would have whopped Cena.
Triple H chimed in, agreeing with the fans in Boston and asking if Dominik had said “anytime, anyplace, or any era.” He noted that it seemed like a pretty damn good era, place, and time, and, with Cena’s approval, Levesque announced an Intercontinental Title match, declaring that Dominik would defend the title right then.
Grade: A
Moments & Insights:
- Instead of Survivor Series, the planned match was shifted to Raw in Boston in front of Cena’s friends and family.
- It remains to be seen how this affects the ongoing storyline between Dominik and Rey in the lead-up to Survivor Series.
Dominik Mysterio (c) vs John Cena – Intercontinental title match
The first match of the show features the impromptu title match between Dominik Mysterio and John Cena. Mysterio controlled the majority of the early going, but retreated and tried to leave when Cena mounted some offense. Cena brought him back and delivered one of the loudest five-knuckle shuffles. Dominik countered the AA attempt to remove the turnbuckle padding, distracting the official.
Mysterio from Eddie Guerrero’s playbook faked a steel chair strike, but Cena turned the tables and pulled the same trick on him. An AA attempt sequence took out the referee which cost Cena as he made Dominik tap out after applying the STF. Mysterio recovered to deliver the 619, followed the Frog Splash, but an Invincible Cena rolled through to deliver the AA and capture the IC title for the first time in his career.

Rusev remained in control for the majority, capitalizing on the blurred vision of Priest, who mounted a comeback late. However, Rusev gouged his eyes to deliver the Machka Kick and pin Priest to advance in the tournament.
Winner: Rusev
Grade: C
Match Insights & Backstage Moments:
- Backstage, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee were talking with Adam Pearce, asking for some challengers.
- Pearce replied that he’d arrange matches for them, then asked if they had a team name. AJ said no, while Dragon said yes, suggesting “Dragons With Style” in Spanish, prompting Pearce and Styles to agree it needed a bit more work.
- As Lee and Style left, Maxxine Dupri approached Pearce and said she was ready for Becky Lynch. Pearce scheduled the match for next week in New York. As soon as he walked away, Becky Lynch appeared out of nowhere, slammed Maxxine into a road case, grabbed her by the face, and warned her that she didn’t stand a chance.
CM Punk kicks off the WarGames build

CM Punk picked up the mic, stating that he was pissed off and wasn’t going to wait for “the douchebag” to interrupt him; he was there to call him out himself. Punk pointed out that he wasn’t in his wrestling gear because he hadn’t come to wrestle. He called out Logan Paul, warning him that he was about to get the beating he deserved.
Logan then appeared and asked why Punk was so angry, to which Punk shot back that Logan was just stalling for time before Punk punched him in the face. Paul replied that he’d already been punched by the greatest boxer, Floyd Mayweather, and then mentioned The Vision. Punk, addressing the Boston crowd, said he was there for a fight, not for talking.
Logan explained that after taking the Tsunami, his eyes had been opened to a whole new Vision. Moments later, Paul Heyman appeared alongside him, joined by Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. Heyman grabbed a microphone and called Punk the most unlikable human being in the business, saying he was friendless as the group marched toward the ring.
He went on to call Punk a miserable, rotten bastard and added that the only way he could be more likable was if his name were AJ Lee. Punk fired back that if his wife were there, she’d leave all of them lying in a pool of their own blood and piss. He challenged them to bring it on, and then Jey Uso appeared at Punk’s side.
Breakker tried to make the first move, but Cody Rhodes stormed into the ring to join Punk and Jey, turning it into a 3-on-3 showdown as a wild brawl broke out. Punk and Logan fought at ringside, with Punk smashing Paul into the barricade.
Cody grabbed a steel chair and struck Breakker before returning to the ring, where he and Jey teamed up to beat down Reed. Punk lashed Reed with the chair as Jey and Cody sent him tumbling over the top rope. The babyfaces stood tall, and the heels retreated.

Insights & Backstage Moments:
- The build-up intensified just in time for a potential Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns’ return next week at MSG for WarGames.
- There are reports of Punk taking on Logan with the World title on the line at the December 13 edition of SNME.
Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs Raquel Rodriguez – Women’s World title match
A week removed from her win alongside Roxanne Perez against Stephanie Vaquer and Nikki Bella, Raquel Rodriguez battled Vaquer for the Women’s World title. Rodriguez enjoyed massive success early, countering Devil’s Kiss to the dismay of fans.
Roxanne Perez, as expected, tried to interfere in the match when Vaquer tried another comeback, but Nikki Bella took care of her. Rodriguez continued to counter every offense from Vaquer, but the Champion managed to deliver the Devil’s Kiss, followed by the corkscrew moonsault to pin Rodriguez and retain the title.
After the match, Roxanne once again attacked Vaquer, but Bella came to her rescue. However, Bella then turned on Vaquer, cloaking her with the title, turning heel in the process.

This was a fun back-and-forth match as expected between the two highly skilled in-ring competitors. In the main event of the show, Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defended their titles against the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane). Despite good opposition, Flair and Bliss managed to gain control and were on their way to victory as Flair locked in the figure four on Asuka and Bliss took out Sane with the Sister Abigail DDT.
However, Lash Legend and Nia Jax appeared, causing interference, breaking the submission, and taking out Bliss, which helped Asuka and Sane as they lined up Flair for the Insane Elbow and pinned her to capture the Women’s Tag titles.
Bliss made it back into the ring as the Kabuki Warriors retreated. Jax and Legend held their ground while Bliss tried to attack, but she was quickly overwhelmed by the numbers game. Asuka and Sane returned to the ring, joining forces with Jax and Legend to beat down Flair and Bliss.
Iyo Sky then rushed in for the rescue, launching herself off the ropes with a springboard dropkick that took out Legend and the Kabuki Warriors. She followed up with an uppercut to Jax, but Legend stepped in and dropped her with a massive right hand, allowing the heels to regain control, until Rhea Ripley made her surprise return.
Ripley charged in, taking down Jax and Asuka before flooring Legend with a big boot. The momentum shifted as Jax fell victim to the numbers advantage, with the babyfaces kicking her out of the ring. Ripley then delivered a devastating Razor’s Edge, throwing Sane onto the rest of the heels outside the ring. Grabbing a microphone, she made it official: WarGames!
