Before GM Adam Pearce could provide an update, the camera cut to backstage, where Bron Breakker arrived with the World Heavyweight title, accompanied by Paul Heyman and Bronson Reed. Pearce acknowledged their presence, revealing that he knew Rollins had been injured coming out of Crown Jewel, but due to the actions of Breakker and Reed, Rollins was now at home, undergoing major surgery.

Pearce then stripped Rollins of the World Heavyweight title, placing all the blame on Breakker and Reed. He announced that a new champion would be crowned in Salt Lake City at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where CM Punk would face the winner of a battle royal set to take place tonight in Sacramento. Pearce then requested that Bron hand over the title, as it no longer belonged to Rollins or to Breakker.

Breakker took the mic, asking what would happen if he refused to hand over the title. Heyman intervened, telling Breakker to make Pearce ask nicely. Pearce respectfully asked Breakker to hand over the title, prompting Breakker to step face-to-face with the GM. Breakker teased Pearce, asking him to say “please.” Pearce, maintaining his respectful tone, repeated his request, “Please.”

Breakker finally handed the title over to Heyman, who then passed it to Pearce. As Pearce took the title and left, Heyman picked up the mic, questioning why everyone was so angry with them. He acknowledged that he had watched WWE Unreal and understood that they were portrayed as the bad guys, but asked what they had done to deserve the hate.

Heyman pointed out that The Vision had nothing to do with Seth Rollins’ injury, and that Bron Breakker had not betrayed his best friend CM Punk or left Roman Reigns. He declared that Breakker was the future of WrestleMania and that deep down, he knew Bronson Reed was better than Roman Reigns.

The Oracle then stated that Rollins, with his injured shoulder, was no longer fit to lead The Vision into the future, calling him a “bum shoulder bitch.” “Winners write history,” Heyman continued, declaring that Breakker and Reed were the true winners.

Rollins would not headline WrestleMania, as that spot had been claimed by Breakker. Paul then revealed that both Breakker and Reed had the intensity required to become WrestleMania main eventers.

Grade: B

Moments & Insights:

  • WWE failed to provide a proper reason for why Breakker and Reed turned on Rollins. Although the segment established that the two were the co-conspirators rather than Heyman.
  • Backstage, Judgment Day was hanging out in their clubhouse. Finn Balor scolded Mysterio for securing them a title match, to which Dom responded that he’d already beaten AJ Styles twice and asked if they couldn’t handle him. Balor assured him they’d take care of it, but JD McDonagh warned not to expect help against Rusev, as they’d be busy. Roxanne Perez offered Dom a pep talk, but Raquel Rodriguez interrupted, reminding her that she needed to focus on her upcoming match.

Finn Balor & JD McDonagh (c) vs AJ Styles & Dragon Lee – WWE World Tag Team titles match

In the first match of the show, World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh battled the team of AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. The Champions managed to isolate Lee and control the early goings of the match, but an irate Styles turned the tide. A well-timed pull of the ropes by JD halted Styles’ momentum, who managed to tag in Lee.

In the final moments of the match, Balor almost pinned Styles after delivering the Coup de Grace, but Lee saved the match. Lee sent JD flying over the top rope with a powerful move and followed up with a Suicide Dive. Balor attempted the Styles Clash, but AJ countered, delivering the move to Balor instead, pinning him to capture the World Tag Team titles.

Dominik Mystero (c) vs Rusev – Intercontinental title match

Next, Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio battled Rusev in a rematch for the title. Rusev controlled the majority portion of the match, manhandling the Champion. However, when he went for the Accolade, Mysterio rolled out of the ring and tried to escape when Penta arrived. Rusev sent Mysterio crashing into Penta and Dirty Dom once again capitalized on the chaos, picking up the bell hammer.

Back in the ring, Mysterio tripped Rusev and went for the 619, but Rusev caught him mid-move and removed the bell hammer from Mysterio’s boots. The referee seized the hammer and tossed it aside, allowing Dominik to capitalize. He delivered a low blow, followed by the 619 and a Frog Splash, pinning Rusev to retain the title. Penta took out Rusev with a Springboard tornado DDT after the match.

Winner & Still: Dominik Mystero

Grade: B-

Match Insights & Moments:

  • The outcome helped establish Dom as a lovable heel while keeping Rusev protected, thanks to Penta’s role. It also advanced Penta’s storyline; he’s too over to be without direction.

Becky Lynch (c) vs Maxxine Dupri – Women’s Intercontinental title match

Following her non-title win over Becky Lynch, Maxxine Dupri challenged Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental title. Learning from her mistakes, Lynch took Dupri as a serious threat and took control of the action with ease. The beatdown continued until a late flurry from Dupri, when Becky grabbed the title and tried to escape.

Durpi brought Becky back into the ring, but the Champion nailed her with the title, causing the disqualification. After the match, Lynch sent Dupri crashing shoulder-first into the ring post, followed by the Manhandle Slam to conclude the beatdown.

Soon after, Heyman was confronted by Becky Lynch, who rejected his offer for her to join The Vision. Becky then warned him that when Seth Rollins returns, he would take down whichever new nepo baby he attaches himself to, except for Heyman, as The Visionary didn’t consider him a threat.

Stephanie Vaquer vs Roxxane Perez

Women’s World Champion Stephanae Vaquer took on Roxanne Perez, following their heated interaction last week. Despite early setbacks with Perez targeting her left arm, Vaquer overcame interferences from Raquel Rodriguez and delivered the Devil’s Kiss. In the final moments of the match, Perez attempted a Springboard moonsault, but Vaquer sent her crashing over the ropes.

Rodriguez managed to catch Perez in time, but Vaquer took them both out with a Splash from the top rope. Vaquer then hit Angel Wings and pinned Perez to secure another win. After the match, Rodriguez and Perez attacked Vaquer until Nikki Bella made her return to save the World Champion.

  • Backstage, Heyman responded to Breakker and Reed’s questions about being pulled from the Battle Royal by telling them a story about Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns. He explained how they all achieved success by learning to listen to him, advising the two to do the same.

In the final moments of the match, Jimmy Uso saved Jey while LA Knight was trying to eliminate him. However, Jey paid the favor later by tossing Jimmy and Knight over the top rope. Mysterio lined Jey for the 619, but Jey sent him over the top rope to win the battle royal and secure his spot against CM Punk at SNME. Punk and Jey faced off after the main event to close out the show.

Winner: Jey Uso

Nikki reminded her that being a champion puts a target on her back, advising her to stay cautious. Stephanie said she owed Nikki one, to which Nikki responded that, since she had just made two enemies, she might need to cash in that favor sooner rather than later.
  • Jimmy Uso was irate with Jey after the elimination and was in the background when Punk and Jey faced off.
