WWE Raw Summary and Highlights
Another beatdown by the Kabuki Warriors

Rhea Ripley grabbed the mic and called out Asuka and Kairi Sane. Rhea declared that what Asuka and Sane did to Iyo Sky was out of line, especially considering they had called her family. She announced she would settle it in the ring and called out the Kabuki Warriors once more, but instead, Iyo Sky appeared.
Clearly upset with what transpired last week, Sky grabbed the mic and agreed with Rhea, stating that Asuka and Kairi were in the wrong but reminding everyone they were still her family, and she still loved them. Asuka and Sane appeared via video, with Asuka saying Sky acted as if Rhea was her family. Asuka reminded Iyo that she made her who she was, and because she loved her, she would forgive her, if Iyo apologized.
Sane added that they could be family again, but Asuka quickly cut in, saying that for Rhea, it was too late. Ripley shot back, telling Asuka, “You can go to hell!” She then pleaded with Iyo to trust her, insisting she couldn’t go back to them after what they did.
Sky apologized, saying she needed time, before walking off. But as she did, Asuka and Sane attacked Ripley from behind. Iyo, having had enough, rushed into the ring to pull Asuka off Rhea. Meanwhile, Sane started pleading with Sky. Asuka sprayed the poison mist into Iyo’s eyes as Rhea returned fire on Asuka and went for a Riptide on Sane.
However, Asuka intervened with a kick, sending Ripley shoulder-first into the ring post, before both Asuka and Sane delivered a spinning backhand. Asuka locked in the Asuka Lock while Sane hit the Insane Elbow, completing the brutal beatdown on Ripley. Meanwhile, Iyo struggled with the mist, and officials rushed in to try to diffuse the situation.
Grade: B
Backstage Moments & Insights:
- Rhea Ripley has finally given a storyline that doesn’t revolve around the World title, breaking up the same monotonous storyline.
- Iyo Sky was helped backstage by the medical staff, officials, and Rhea Ripley.
Dominik Mysterio (c) vs Rusev – Intercontinental title match
In the first match of the show, Dominik Mysterio defended the Intercontinental title against Rusev. Rusev controlled the majority of the match, inflicting his will on Mysterio. However, the Champion used some underhanded tactics, hitting Rusev with the IC title, tossing it at Rusev, and faking an injury.
While referee Eddie Orengo caught him red-handed, Mysterio used the distraction of Orengo removing the IC title from the ring to land a low-blow and pin Rusev to retain the title.
Winner: Dominik Mysterio
Grade: B
Match Insights & Backstage Moments:
- This is the first time the two stars have locked horns inside the squared circle, per Joe Tessitore.
- Dom’s 6th title defense saw Finn Balor and JD McDonagh accompany him during the walkout, but leaving afterwards.
- An earlier backstage segment aired where LA Knight told Adam Pearce he wanted a shot at the World Championship. Pearce responded, saying that Knight wasn’t the only one making such requests. Just then, The New Day walked in, asking for a Tag Title match. LA Knight and Kofi Kingston got into a heated exchange, prompting Pearce to officially book them in a match for later in the show.
- A pre-taped video package recapped the tumultuous history between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, building anticipation for their upcoming match at Crown Jewel.
Bayley vs Raquel Rodriguez
After last week’s win over Roxanne Perez, Bayley battled Perez’s tag partner Raquel Rodriguez, who manhandled Bayley in the early going using her size advantage. Bayley rallied, paying homage to The Hardy Boyz with a Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb, but failed to pin Rodriguez. Bayley then locked in the figure-four, but Perez interfered, gouging Bayley’s eyes. Rodriguez followed up with the Tahana bomb to pin Bayley.
After the match, Roxanne attacked Bayley, with Lyra Valkyria appearing but visibly struggling to make a decision. Lyra quickly rushed into the ring, taking down Perez and landing a big kick on Raquel, but the numbers game soon took over as Perez and Raquel continued their beatdown.
Bayley snapped, charging into the ring with a massive knee that took out Raquel, followed by a slam to Perez. The two were sent packing. Bayley then turned her attention to Lyra, laughing as she lifted her up, yelling that Lyra had done a good job.
Winner: Raquel Rodriguez
Grade: C
Match Insights & Backstage Moments:
- Before the match, Bayley approached Lyra Valkyria backstage, wearing one of Lyra’s T-shirts, and asked her to be in her corner. However, Lyra wasn’t interested after what happened last time. Bayley explained that she was going through a lot and really needed Lyra’s support. Lyra, however, told her she was on her own.
- Backstage, Jimmy and Jey met, with Jimmy asking about last week when he needed Jey’s help, but Jey walked out on him and LA Knight. Jey responded, saying helping Knight got them nowhere, especially after he cost them at Wrestlepalooza. He then asked Jimmy why he was still helping him. Jimmy tried to explain, but Jey cut him off, saying he should be the World Heavyweight Champion, something Jimmy wouldn’t understand. Jimmy, looking angry, tried to calm the tension as Jey attempted to break the ice by talking about the match.
- Iyo Sky was being checked on by the medical team when Kairi Sane appeared, insisting that they could still be a family. Sane urged Sky to come with her and apologize to Asuka, but Sky wasn’t in the mood. She told Sane to leave her alone. Sane hesitated, then handed Sky a picture of the three of them together before walking off.
LA Knight vs Kofi Kingston
Following their heated interaction, LA Knight and Kofi Kingston stepped into the squared circle to settle the score. Kingston took control going into the commercials and maintained control, in part due to multiple interferences and attacks by Xavier Woods.
Knight kept fighting and turned around, dodging Trouble in Paradise attempt by Kofi to deliver the BFT out of nowhere, pinning Kingston to secure the win as he looks to continue his pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship.
Winner: LA Knight
Grade: C
Match Insights & Backstage Moments:
- Backstage, Becky Lynch approached Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri, mocking Maxxine. Becky claimed that everyone says she’s the best, to which Maxxine replied, “Everyone except AJ Lee.” Tozawa started laughing as Becky retaliated, knocking out Tozawa and then attacking Maxxine.
- Becky Lynch then joined Seth Rollins, who was still fixated on the watch Cody Rhodes had given him. Becky offered to accompany him to the ring, but Seth insisted that he needed to handle this one on his own.
Crown Jewel preview

Seth Rollins was still staring down at the watch that Cody Rhodes had gifted him. Rollins recapped his upcoming clash with Cody Rhodes, acknowledging that Cody had won three times and he had lost three times, but he insisted that it didn’t bother him, because it didn’t matter.
He emphasized that those past versions of themselves were irrelevant. What mattered, he said, was Crown Jewel, where both men were at the top now. The winner would not only claim the Crown Jewel title but also shape the future of the industry for the next 10-20 years. Rollins pointed out that many fans were behind Cody, he mocked the idea that fans believed Cody would lead the company into the future.
Rollins asked if the fans had lost their minds, declaring that he was the one who would lead the industry forward. He pointed out how he stayed in the company to usher in its golden age. He reminded the crowd of his contributions, including bringing in stars like Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, while removing “cancers” like Roman Reigns and CM Punk from the company. Yet, the fans still chanted for Cody.
Cody Rhodes’ music hit, further irking Rollins. Cody stepped into the ring and asked what Rollins was talking about, suggesting that claiming to control the future of the industry was a bit much. He reminded Rollins that it wasn’t him who held the control; it was the fans. Rhodes pointed out that while Rollins might have trained Bron and Bronson, he couldn’t control them.
Cody then referenced a visit from the “Bron Brons” on Friday, claiming that while Rollins might have trained them, it was actually Paul Heyman who sent them. Rollins quickly interrupted, insisting that everything went through him and that he ordered Bron and Bronson to pay Cody a visit. Cody shot back, asking if Rollins had also ordered Heyman to announce Brock Lesnar’s return. Rollins repeated that every decision went through him.
Cody, unfazed, reminded Rollins that they were supposed to be having fun and pointed out their upcoming clash at Crown Jewel. Cody then recalled how Rollins was once his Shield brother at WrestleMania 40, and how he thought Rollins was his friend.
Rollins snapped, telling Cody to shut up. He clarified that he was never Cody’s friend. that their relationship had always been a means to an end, with Cody being the lesser of two evils. Seth then declared that they would never be friends and that he would never call Cody his equal.
At Crown Jewel, Rollins promised to “cleanse the timeline,” saying everything that happened before the event would be “dead.” He vowed to write a new history and a new future, insisting that there was only one person who would lead that vision: Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
Grade: A
Insights & Backstage Moments:
- Rollins and Rhodes delivered an amazing promo, showcasing their natural chemistry. WWE is doing a great job hyping up fans for this Champion vs Champion clash.
- Backstage, Rhea Ripley checked on Iyo Sky, and Iyo admitted that Ripley had been right about Asuka. Iyo then revealed that she had spoken with GM Adam Pearce, and they were set to face Asuka and Kairi Sane at Crown Jewel. Ripley asked if Iyo was ready for the match, and Sky responded that she couldn’t go back to them. The two then shared an emotional embrace.
AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs Los Americanos (Bravo (Blue) & Rayo (Red))
Before the match began, Dragon Lee talked about his upcoming AAA Mega title match against Dominik Mysterio, while AJ Styles hyped his Crown Jewel showdown with John Cena, vowing to do his favorite thing on October 11, which is to beat up John Cena.
Los Americanos made their official debut, accompanied by El Grande Americano. Commentary revealed the names of the two luchadors: Bravo, wearing blue trunks, and Rayo, dressed in red. Los Americanos isolate Lee in the early goings to control the action, but Lee managed to tag in Styles.
A brief interference from El Grande Americano halted Styles’ offense, who took out Americano and then delivered the Phenomenal Forerarm to Riyo, and a little help from Lee to deliver the Styles Clash on Bravo to pick up the win.
Winner: AJ Styles & Dragon Lee
Grade: C+
Match Insights & Backstage Moments:
- It makes no sense for AJ to battle Los Americanos ahead of his Crown Jewel clash against John Cena. Styles and Lee would likely have suffered defeat to put over the debutants if the Cena clash had not been scheduled for Styles.
- Backstage, Stephanie Vaquer addressed Tiffany Stratton ahead of their Crown Jewel Championship match in two weeks. Tiffany interrupted, declaring that she had proven herself over the past year, and that wasn’t about to change at Crown Jewel.
The Usos (Jey & Jimmy Uso) vs The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed) – Tornado Tag Team match
In the main event of the show, The Usos (Jey & Jimmy Uso) locked horns against The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed) in a Tornado Tag Team match. Jey and Jimmy started hot, attacking the Bron Brons during their entrance.
However, Breakker and Reed bounced back, punishing the Usos and burying Jimmy under chairs and broken pieces of the announce desk, caused by a leaping clothesline by Breakker. Reed and Breakker continue their assault on Jey, until Jimmy bounced back only to sit down with a Jagged Edge by Reed.
The script changed for the Bron Brons when ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns made his jaw-dropping return with a steel chair in his hand. Reigns sent Breakker crashing and then settled the score with Reed, punishing him with thudding chair shots. Jimmy and Jey capitalized to deliver the double Uso Splash on Breakker to win the Wrestlepalooza rematch.
Reigns kept attacking Breakker after the match, using the steel chair to send him crashing to the outside. Jey embraced Reigns as Jimmy watched on. Reigns told Jey that it was his show now.
Winner: The Usos (Jey & Jimmy Uso)
Grade: B+
Match Insights & Backstage Moments:
- Before the main event, Paul Heyman checked in on Seth Rollins, asking if he was alright. Seth replied that he had to be. Paul offered a pep talk, but Rollins silenced him, simply repeating that he had to beat him.
- Big Jim looked concerned with Jey’s mannerisms, especially after Reigns’ return.
