WWE Raw SPOILERS 8/31(Taped on August 28, 2026 in Cleveland, Ohio)

After pre-taping this Friday’s SmackDown on Monday, post-Raw in Ottawa, Ontario, WWE held another pre-taping this time a double pre-taping of Raw and SmackDown on August 28 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
The show followed up on this Monday’s show, which saw Royce Keys return with OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) to attack the Usos, LA Knight, and Solo Sikoa. Unlike the August 24 show, the next week’s show will also feature an appearance from WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
The tournament to crown the number one contender for Reigns’ World title for the September 14 edition of Raw in Mexico also concluded with the finals between Penta and Rey Fenix.
WWE Raw (August 31, 2026) Spoilers
Catch Every Update, Anytime, Anywhere

- The Usos arrived backstage but were attacked by Royce Keys and OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price). Jacob Fatu came to make the save, but he was too late, allowing Keys and OTM to drive away.
- Before the first match began, Jacob Fatu came through the crowd and stood on the announce table, declaring that if Keys and OTM wanted war, they had it. He then destroyed several things at ringside and took out a few officials before leaving through the crowd.
- Women’s Intercontinental Championship match: Raquel Rodriguez def. Sol Ruca after Lyra Valkyria interfered. Valkyria stood outside the ring smiling while Judgment Day celebrated before leaving and saying, “Oops!”
- A trailer aired for the upcoming Mr. T documentary.
- Chad Gable received a “really nice” reaction from the crowd as he came out and cut a promo. He said he wanted the Intercontinental Championship to define his legacy. Gable thanked his fans in Mexico and AA, and announced that he would defend the Championship in Mexico City.
- Gable then called out Dragon Lee, with both men showing mutual respect. Gable said he had the opportunity to choose his own opponent, prompting Ethan Page to come out and claim that Gable only wants to wrestle undeserving luchadors.
- Gable responded by saying Page was on his list of people he wanted to face, directly below the Honky Tonk Man. This resulted in a match between the two, with Gable announcing that it would determine his Intercontinental Championship challenger for the WWE Raw episode in Mexico City.
- WWE Intercontinental Championship #1 Contenders match: Dragon Lee def. Ethan Page. During the match, Page removed the turnbuckle pad, which Gable noticed and pointed out to the referee.
- Roman Reigns came out for a promo and explained that OTC stands for “one true champ.” Reigns said being in his position is a burden and that he should be out there showing respect to Penta and Rey Fenix. However, he said he couldn’t because nobody else in WWE respects him.
- Reigns vowed that Solo Sikoa and LA Knight would acknowledge him. Knight appeared at the entrance and received a reaction comparable to Reigns, telling him that he was simply recycling material from three years ago. He also joked, “I didn’t understand OTC stands for one tremendous coward.”
- The camera then cut backstage, where Sikoa was laid out and bleeding, surrounded by Jacob Fatu and officials. Knight rushed over to help Sikoa, with Reigns following and taking Knight down.
- Je’Von Evans def. Dominik Mysterio via DQ. Mysterio was accompanied by JD McDonagh and attacked Evans before the bell. When the action went outside the ring, McDonagh clotheslined Evans, causing the disqualification. Mysterio and McDonagh continued attacking Evans after the match until Joe Hendry made the save, setting up a tag team match.
- Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh def. Je’Von Evans & Joe Hendry. McDonagh hit Hendry with a headbutt from outside the ring, allowing Mysterio to follow up with a frog splash for the victory.
- Becky Lynch was talking backstage when Stephanie Vaquer interrupted her. The two discussed who owed whom, with the segment ending after Vaquer told Lynch, “You don’t deserve the title; the title deserves me.”
- Rey Mysterio was shown backstage speaking with Rey Fenix.
- Cathy Kelley interviewed Paul Heyman backstage. Heyman said he was interested to see who would lose between Oba Femi and Bron Breakker at Sunday Night’s Main Event and what would happen to both men afterward. He said he respected them both and that everyone would discover the future of WWE in real time.
- The Judgment Day also had a backstage segment.
- World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contenders Tournament Finals: Penta def. Rey Fenix. Penta debuted impressive new ring pyro and defeated Fenix with a Mexican Destroyer in 14 minutes. The match was described as the “TV match of the year.”
- Afterward, Penta spoke with Fenix, and the two raised each other’s hands. Roman Reigns then came down to confront Penta before raising the title.
