The Red brand is seeing a significant drop in viewership and ratings

On May 27, WWE RAW’s viewership decreased. According to Wrestlenomics, the broadcast received 1.690 million viewers on Monday night, with a 0.55 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The audience is down from last week’s show, which drew 1.733 million people. The demo also declined somewhat from the previous week’s show, which received a 0.56 rating in the same demographic.

Notably, the decline in viewership on WWE RAW might be attributed to competition from the NHL and NBA Playoffs. While the ratings for the NBA and NHL playoffs have yet to be revealed, both sports are expected to draw larger audiences against “Raw.”

The NBA featured Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, which saw the Boston Celtics upset the Indiana Pacers and advance to the NBA Finals. Meanwhile, in the NHL, the Dallas Stars rallied to upset the Edmonton Oilers 5-3 in Game 3, giving them a 2-1 series lead.

Though “Raw” dealt with the consequences of King and Queen of the Ring, Becky Lynch’s failed attempt to reclaim the WWE Women’s World Championship from Liv Morgan in a steel cage battle sparked conversation. At the moment, the bout seems to be Lynch’s final in a WWE ring for some time, since her contract with the organization is slated to end this Saturday, and Lynch is anticipated to take time off regardless of her choice.

A brief highlight of what went on 5/27 edition of RAW

This week’s episode began with a promo featuring Gunther, Damian Priest, and Drew McIntyre. McIntyre will face Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle.

Ricochet and Ilja Dragunov were unable to compete due to intervention by Bron Breakker, who was not supposed to be present in the building. Lyra Valkyria also competed, and she defeated Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL.

The main event saw Liv Morgan defeating Becky Lynch in a steel cage match to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship with another “assist” from Dominik Mysterio. Morgan kissed Mysterio after the match, just as the program ended.
