Demi Bennett aka Rhea Ripley was born on 11 October 1996. After competing on the independent circuit since 2013, Rhea Ripley joined WWE in 2017, participating in the inaugural Mae Young Classic.
She became the first NXT UK Women’s Champion in 2018 and later won the NXT Women’s Championship, defending it at WrestleMania.
Promoted to Raw in 2021, Ripley joined The Judgment Day in 2022. She has held the Raw Women’s Championship, WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, and SmackDown Women’s Championship (renamed Women’s World Championship), making her the seventh WWE Women’s Triple Crown and fifth Grand Slam Champion. Ripley is also the first Australian champion in WWE history and the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble winner.

In reality, the two are very close friends. Two of her most visible tattoos are private. The first is a dagger on her arm, symbolizing trust concerns. The second one is on her calf and features a rose, a wolf, and a woman. However, Ripley did not explain the tattoo’s meaning.
The most prominent tattoo on her leg is the face of a devil. This may be mistaken for a demonic symbol. This tattoo represents her love and passion for heavy metal music.
Ripley previously stated in interviews that she adored the band Papa Roach and had performed as the opening act for a RAW performance. In a Flash Morgan Webster podcast, Ripley stated that she intended to be beaten by Bianca Belair and then get a tattoo of her in the ring during the War Games 2019 fight.

Rhea Ripley is married to fellow wrestler Matthew Adams (also known as Buddy Matthews). They were engaged in August 2023 and married in June 2024. Buddy Matthews is 36 years old as of November 2024. He was born on September 26, 1988, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Rhea Ripley and her husband Matthew Adams began dating in 2022. They met in WWE and have been dating for two years (as of 2024). Buddy Matthews is currently signed with AEW.
