Royal Rumble 2025 will be one of the biggest WWE events this year
The 38th edition of WWE Royal Rumble is set to take place on February 1, 2025, at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. One of WWE’s most anticipated annual events, the Royal Rumble will feature top Superstars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, competing in high-stakes matches, including the traditional 30-man and 30-woman Royal Rumble matches.
Royal Rumble is a professional wrestling match featuring Battle Royal rules, where competitors eliminate others by throwing them over the top rope. Typically, 30 participants take part, with two starting the match and new wrestlers entering every 90 seconds until all 30 are in the ring.
Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in a Ladder Match tonight. Rhodes holds a 3-0 record over Owens, but the challenger is determined to turn the tide and capture the title.
The traditional 30-man Royal Rumble match will feature Superstars from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, including John Cena, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins. The winner will secure a championship opportunity at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
Thirty female Superstars will compete in the 30-woman Royal Rumble match including Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Chelsea Green, with the winner earning a WrestleMania 41 main-event opportunity in April.
The reigning champions, #DIY (Tomasso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano), will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against former champions Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match.
