Let’s discuss the latest rumors making the rounds among fans on social media!
Speculations and rumors are among some of the favorite pastimes for WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. The road to WrestleMania began with the Royal Rumble PLE and was followed by Elimination Chamber. Fans have started speculating about the matches and appearances.
In today’s edition of the rumor roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including Becky Lynch’s return, an update on JD McDonagh & Kairi Sane, Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair segment, and more.
Becky Lynch’s return
‘The Man’ Becky Lynch has been absent from WWE programming since May 2024, when her contract expired. Since then fans have been waiting for her to return, while a brief appearance in the Raw Netflix promo video and the news of her re-signing with the promotion, sparked speculations from fans, Lynch is yet to make her return.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp stated that he doesn’t anticipate Becky Lynch being on the WrestleMania 41 card. He also added that there were plans pitched for ‘Mania for her’ at one point, but it’s unclear what happened afterward.
Update on JD McDonagh & Kairi Sane
Kairi Sane has been absent from WWE programming since December 2024, it was later revealed that she is suffering from an arm injury. According to PWInsider Kairi Sane is “very close” to being cleared to return to the squared ring.
PWInsider also reports that the internal belief in WWE is that JD McDonagh could return by the end of April. McDonagh suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung during a World title match alongside Dominik Mysterio where he finished the match despite injury against The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar).
Tiffany Stratton & Charlotte Flair’s segment on SmackDown
Ahead of their title clash at WrestleMania 41 PLE, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair engaged in a segment moderated by Wade Barrett.
However, what was supposed to be a segment involving a heated exchange turned into a war of words where both reportedly went off script and started throwing personal jabs at each other. While Tiffany brought up Flair’s recent divorce, mentioning her ‘0-3 record’ in reference to her marriages. Flair fired back, suggesting that Stratton’s boyfriend, Ludwig Kaiser was sliding into her DMs.
According to PWInsider, the segment went off from their planned script, sources suggest Tiffany’s “0-3” comment was a clapback at Charlotte for dominating a previous exchange. While some felt Stratton held her own and regained attention—especially in front of a Chicago crowd that was clearly behind her—others believed the unscripted direction didn’t benefit either star.
However, WRKD Wrestling notes that Charlotte’s divorce comment “would not have been mentioned without clearance ahead of time.”
Lex Luger HOF induction
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as of a week ago, WWE and AEW had not been in contact regarding the possibility of Sting inducting Lex Luger into WWE’s Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Luger was inducted into the 2025 Hall of Fame last month by the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
Luger has voiced his desire to have Sting and DDP during his induction ceremony and earlier reports suggested that WWE has been making efforts to have Sting induct Lex Luger into the 2025 Hall of Fame.
