According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE is producing a documentary centered on John Cena’s retirement tour.
As per the report, there were documentary crews following Cena during the tour. The documentary is expected to debut on Peacock in mid-2026, although this release has not been officially confirmed.
Cena competed in his final match against Gunther on the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. This was his final in-ring appearance as he bid farewell to the fandom, capping off the farewell tour which began in January at the Raw Netflix debut.
Stranger Things crossover & WWE x AAA Rey De Reyes event

The Stamford-based promotion is reportedly expanding its partnership with Netflix, according to a recent report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
The outlet reports that a promotional crossover between WWE and Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things is expected to happen soon, though the report did not specify the exact details or format of the collaboration.
Furthermore, WrestleVotes also reports that AAA’s Rey de Reyes is currently scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Auditorio GNP Seguros in Puebla, Mexico.
Maxxine Dupri’s push & new Netflix podcast initiative

According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, the promotion is promoting Maxxine Dupri as a hard-working wrestler to mask the fact that her push is largely based on her appearance.
A source told Front Office Sports that WWE and Fanatics are looking to expand their podcast network, which currently features shows hosted by Stephanie McMahon, Cody Rhodes, Undertaker, and Logan Paul.
The source added that they have “recently vetted talent for new programming,” suggesting plans to potentially shift the video broadcasts of these shows to Netflix.
This week, Netflix struck deals with Barstool Sports and iHeartMedia to bring some of the world’s top podcasts to its platform. While the audio versions will remain free on other platforms, the video versions will now be available exclusively through Netflix’s subscription service. As the streaming giant moves to expand into podcasting, WWE could potentially be part of the platform’s new initiative.
