CM Punk’s updated WrestleMania plans
A recent source says that preparations for CM Punk and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 may be altered. WWE is quickly approaching its biggest show of the year, WrestleMania 41. And all eyes are on the possible main event matchups. Many triple-threat bouts have taken place at WrestleMania over the years. Furthermore, several of them have been the highlight of the program.
According to recent rumors, WWE is planning a battle involving three of its greatest talents at WrestleMania 41. According to reports, the bout would pit CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. However, a fresh update implies that the business is leaning toward a different triple-threat event for WrestleMania 41.
According to Wrestlevotes via Backstage Pass, WWE want a matchup involving CM Punk, John Cena, and Cody Rhodes. The match would be the main event of WrestleMania 41, with Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE Championship. Some employees supposedly prefer this match to the previously reported triple threat match.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer has revealed that John Cena has been set to win the Elimination Chamber. This was fixed in stone in October or November. It would give him the opportunity to become the first 17-time world champion in the industry’s history.
Ricky Starks was supposed to make main roster debut
Ricky Starks, a former AEW star, surprised the pro wrestling world Tuesday night when he made his WWE debut on NXT. The debut came just one day after Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp revealed that Starks was no longer under contract with AEW.
According to Fightful Select (via Steve Carrier of Ringside News), WWE chose to make their debut on Starks rather than Raw or SmackDown. According to sources, while WrestleMania 41 plans are mostly set, NXT has more flexibility and can accommodate a major acquisition like Starks.
Chad Gable not working dates with AAA
Plans for Chad Gable to compete for AAA, also known as Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, may have crumbled. Bryan Alvarez said on Monday’s Wrestling Observer Live that he had been told Chad Gable was going to work some events for AAA. Alvarez has recently stated that plans for Gable to be trained by a luchador in AAA may have been abandoned.
“It looks like Chad Gable will NOT be headed to AAA. There was a plan involving a Luchador mentoring him, but it may have fallen through,” Alvarez tweeted on X.
