Update on Randy Orton & Jade Cargill’s return
‘The Viper’ Randy Orton has been absent from WWE programming since November 2024 when he suffered an injury due to the attack by Kevin Owens. According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, the Stamfrod-based promotion wants Randy Orton involved in WrestleMania 41. Sean further clarifies that he hasn’t specifically heard of any particular plan for the Viper just yet.
Jade Cargill has also been absent from WWE programming since November 2024 when she was ambushed by an unknown assailant backstage, she was found lying unconscious on a car hood with a broken windshield.
PW Insider now reports that Jade Cargill is expected to return to WWE television soon, potentially as early as this week. She has been spotted multiple times in recent weeks at the WWE Performance Centre.
Fox’s involvement in Vince McMahon’s new pro wrestling promotion
Fightful has debunked the rumors of pro wrestling mogul and WWE co-founder Vince McMahon starting a new wrestling promotion with FOX Broadcasting.
FOX informed Fightful that they have no interest and denied any involvement in the matter. Additionally, Andrew Marchand, Sr. Writer at The Athletic, contacted FOX, and a network spokesman confirmed Fightful’s report.
WWE officials on the new Women’s Tag Team Champions
PWInsider reports that WWE officials were pleased with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez’s title win on Raw this week and plan to book them strongly heading into WrestleMania 41.
Morgan and Rodriguez defeated the defending champions Bianca Belair and Noami to become the new Women’s Tag Team Champions. The title win has kicked off the third tag title run for the Judgment Day members.
The Hardy Boyz return
The Hardy Boyz (Jeff & Matt Hardy) made their return after six years on the 02/24 episode of Tuesday Night NXT where they battled No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne & Tavion Heights). The Hardy Boyz are now set to defend the TNA World Tag Team Championship against the current NXT Tag Team Champion Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) at NXT Roadblock 2025.
According to a report from WrestleVotes, WWE Creative is optimistic that The Hardy Boyz will be involved in a storyline on the main roster sometime this spring or summer. They are under contract with TNA Wrestling until late this year as per Sean Ross of Fightful.
