Let’s discuss the latest rumors circulating among fans on social media!

Speculations and rumors are among some of the favorite pastimes for WWE fans worldwide. Fans around the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the pro wrestling world. The road to WrestleMania has kicked off with the Royal Rumble PLE and the next stop on the road is the Elimination Chamber PLE and fans have started speculating about the matches and appearances.

In today’s edition of the rumor roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including Jade Cargill’s return, an update on Sonya Deville’s post-WWE exit, new commentator for WWE’s Evolve show & Jim Cornette in Hall of Fame and the promotion’s interest in two UK Indy stars.

Jade Cargill return update

Jade Cargill has been absent from programming since November 2024, when she was attacked backstage by an unknown assailant. Cargill has been away from action since then and in her absence Naomi has replaced her as she is currently the Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Bianca Belair.

Following last week’s developments on SmackDown, PWInsider reports that Cargill was back at the WWE Performance Center this week, and “the belief is her creative plans for her return will be set very soon.”

Cargill will likely be making her return soon as the promotion has started exploring the angle of her attack. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are the prime suspects as of now, Belair and Noami have set their sights on exacting revenge for the attack.

Update on Sonya Deville’s post-WWE exit

Pure Fusion Collective’s leader Sonya Deville was among the recent list of stars that were released from their contract by the Stamford-based promotion. Deville’s contract with the promotion will not be renewed once it expires. However, as per recent reports, Deville will be busy after her WWE contract officially expires.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson now reports that Deville has signed a deal with Big Event Promotions, paving the way for her to appear at various pop culture and wrestling conventions for autograph sessions after her WWE departure.

New commentator for WWE’s Evolve show & Jim Cornette in WWE Hall of Fame

According to PWInsider, one-time WWE 24/7 Champion and American TV personality Peter Rosenberg will be doing commentary for WWE’s Evolve show. The show is slated to premiere on March 5, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, exclusively on Tubi, with a new episode dropping each week on Wednesdays.

In a reply to a question about the possibility of Jim Cornette being announced for the Hall of Fame, Fightful Select reported that Jim Cornette’s name hasn’t been mentioned in creative discussions for the Hall of Fame in recent years.

The report further adds that the reason is not due to any opposition, but rather because the promotion believes he’s content and thriving with his current podcasting and other ventures.

WWE interested in two UK Indy stars

According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan, the Stamford-based promotion is interested in singing UK independent stars Rhio and Man Like DeReis. The report further adds that there’s internal support within WWE for Rhio and Man Like DeReiss, with several wrestlers advocating for their signing.

The topic was also discussed backstage at PROGRESS Wrestling’s recent Valentine Day’s event. The Stamford-based promotion is set to hold a tryout in London next month, but it’s unclear if Rhio and Man Like DeReiss will be participating.
