Jade Cargill was attacked backstage in November 2024
One-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Jade Cargill was severely injured due to an attack on the 11/22/24 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Cargill was left bloodied and unconscious on the hood of a car with a broken windshield.
The promotion later announced that Cargill was diagnosed with the following injuries, Deep Lumbar Paraspinal Muscle Contusions, Bruised Kidney, Sprained MCL in her right knee, Tibial Plateau Bone Bruise of her right knee, and Facial Lacerations. Jade has been absent from WWE programming since November 2024.
During Cargill’s absence, Belair was asked to vacate the tag title as she would have been unable to defend it. However, Naomi rose up to save the day for her friend and offered her services as a tag partner. She is now one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Bianca.
While Naomi joined Belair and continued defending the title many fans and fellow stars believed the timing was very convenient for her and accused Naomi of being the assailant.
General Manager Nick Aldis shared a video of the night of Jade Cargill’s attack
Despite multiple fan theories and accusations, the WWE didn’t provide any clarity on who the mystery assailant was. However, on the 02/14 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the promotion provided a new development in the story.
During the 02/14 show, General Manager Nick Aldis called Belair and Naomi into his office after receiving an anonymous tip regarding the attack in the form of a video that appeared to have been shot on a cellphone. Aldis stated that they don’t know who shot the video or who sent it but he just wants to show them the video.
Aldis then played the clip as Belair and Naomi recognized Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez walking near the ambulance when Cargill was being taken to the hospital. Naomi stated that she was tired of everyone blaming her for being the assailant, but the video made it clear.
Pearce stressed that nothing was confirmed yet and that he would call Raw General Manager, Adam Pearce to figure out the next step before jumping to any conclusion. However, Belair and Noami seemed to have made up their minds as they stated that they would go to Raw to handle Morgan and Raquel themselves.
Do you believe Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were behind the attack, or were they simply in the wrong place at the wrong time? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
