Randy Orton & Jade Cargill’s WWE return
‘The Viper’ Randy Orton has been absent from WWE programming since November 2024 when he suffered an injury due to the attack by Kevin Owens. According to a recent report from Fightful Select, Orton is scheduled to return to WWE programming in early March ahead of the WrestleMania 41 PLE.
Jade Cargill has also been absent from WWE programming since November 2024, when she was ambushed by an unknown assailant backstage, she was found lying unconscious on a car hood with a broken windshield.
According to WrestleVotes via Backstage Pass, Cargill’s return is imminent and she might make her return as early as tonight on the 02/28 episode of Friday Night SmackDown which will emanate from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
Update on Vince McMahon’s new promotion
Following Fox Broadcasting denying any involvement in Vince McMahon’s new rumored pro wrestling promotion, a new report from Wrestling Observer Radio further clarifies that the pro wrestling mogul is not starting his own pro wrestling promotion but is planning to start an entertainment company.
“He’s not starting a wrestling promotion, I can tell you that. He’s starting an entertainment company, yeah. There was stuff floating around yesterday of him starting a wrestling company and those close to him say, ‘No, that is not happening.'” Dave Metlzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Injury update on NXT Women’s Champion Giulia
According to PWInsider, Giulia is currently “banged up” due to her high-impact wrestling style, suffering from “bumps and bruises.” Fortunately, she doesn’t have a serious injury. Despite this, Giulia is still expected to compete against Stephanie Vaquer at the NXT Roadblock episode on March 11.
The NXT Women’s Champion is set to battle the NXT North American Champion Vaquer in a champion vs champion clash at the Roadblock PLE which is set for March 11, 2025, at the ‘The Theater’ at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
SmackDown’s three-hour format
According to WrestleVotes Radio via Backstage Pass, there are several within the promotion that strongly dislike the three-hour format for Friday Night SmackDown as they feel the quality of the show has plunged in the last few months.
Stephanie McMahon’s podcast
According to a new report from WrestleVotes, Stephanie McMahon is set to host an official WWE podcast in the near future. According to the tweet, the podcast series is expected this spring, Stephanie has been away from the spotlight for a long time after resigning from the company in 2023 upon the return of her father Vince McMahon as chairman of the company.
“A very interesting name is set to debut an official WWE podcast soon—Stephanie McMahon will be launching her own podcast series, expected this spring. Given her life and experiences in wrestling, this series should be as compelling as they come.”
Stephanie has been making sporadic appearances in the WWE since last year and even kicked off this year’s Royal Rumble PLE which emanated from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
