Speculation and rumors are among the favorite pastimes of WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. In the aftermath of the Crown Jewel 2025, the rumor mill continues to run in full force.
In today’s edition of the roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including Chris Jericho’s return on Monday’s Raw, Tomasso Ciampa’s exit, an update on Alberto Del Rio, and more.
Chris Jericho’s return on Monday’s Raw

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, internal discussions have been circulating regarding a possible Chris Jericho return to the Stamford-based promotion, with January 5’s episode of Raw mentioned as a potential target date. However, Meltzer emphasized that no confirmation has been provided by either the promotion or Jericho’s camp.
Meltzer characterized the situation as more of a widely held belief than a confirmed development. He added that while the rumors haven’t been directly shut down, some WWE sources have cautioned him against taking any of the speculation at face value.
Meltzer cited Jericho’s track record of unexpected returns as a reason for fans to avoid focusing too heavily on any particular date.
Tomasso Ciampa’s exit

Per BodySlam.net, Tomasso Ciampa’s contract with the Stamford-based promotion is expiring soon, and he plans to finish his time with the company without renewing it.
“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Tommaso Ciampa’s contract is coming up, and he plans on finishing his time with the company without a renewal. It’s unclear if Ciampa chose not sign a new deal and is planning on going elsewhere or wants to take time off without a deal,”
Update on Alberto Del Rio & Holiday Tour success
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Alberto Del Rio, aka Alberto El Patron, is no longer scheduled to appear on WWE programming. The report mentions that he recently appeared on La Tijera Lucha Libre, where he expressed interest in participating in the WWE-AAA collaboration.
Although Patron has frequently hinted at a WWE comeback, nothing has materialized. The newsletter also points to WWE President Nick Khan’s approach to talent and legal matters, emphasizing that any disciplinary action requires solid evidence, such as a court conviction, something Patron does not have.
While Patron remains a fan favorite in Mexico, AAA has suggested that his involvement isn’t essential for the promotion. His next steps remain uncertain.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the promotion wrapped up 2025 with its most successful run of house shows for the year, delivering standout post-Christmas events in multiple U.S. cities. He highlighted that internal figures suggest this stretch reflects the promotion’s strong ongoing draw for live audiences, even in the absence of TV tapings or premium live events.
When and where will the first episode of Raw take place?
The first Monday Night Raw of 2026 is set to emanate live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Is Tomasso Ciampa leaving WWE?
Per BodySlam.net, Tomasso Ciampa’s contract with the Stamford-based promotion is expiring soon, and he plans to finish his time with the company without renewing it.
