There is a lot of internal frustration with the promotional graphics for WrestleMania 42, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select. The report notes that individuals working on promotional graphics and branding for WrestleMania have been navigating ongoing changes to the show’s visual identity.

According to sources, the absence of a consistent creative direction for the PLE has resulted in frequent revisions, adding extra pressure and workload for the team responsible for producing the event’s marketing materials.

One source noted that the overall presentation concept for WrestleMania has yet to be firmly locked in, leading to a steady flow of new requests for redesigned graphics and updated promotional assets.

Earlier, the event was said to be built around a more “high-end, classy vibe,” a tone that was reflected in the first teasers released by WWE. However, the direction has reportedly been adjusted multiple times due to a lack of clear direction, requiring the design team to continually rework the event’s visual branding and promotional imagery.

The outlet also reports that officials within WWE are reportedly evaluating what have internally been referred to as “natural tweaks” to the card. The intention behind these possible adjustments is to strengthen the overall presentation of the event and draw a larger audience once the broadcast begins.

Among the concepts said to be under discussion is opening the event’s preview window with a match featuring an exciting stipulation. This portion of the broadcast is expected to air on traditional ESPN channels, making it accessible to viewers without a subscription.

The strategy would be to feature a high-stakes match during that free segment in hopes of capturing the interest of casual fans and persuading them to sign up so they can continue watching the remainder of the event.

Additionally, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE had originally mapped out the full match lineup for WrestleMania 42 as early as January. However, the plans were reportedly altered after too many fans were able to correctly predict the card.

Plans for Iyo Sky & Nikki Blackheart

According to Bodyslam.net, Iyo Sky is expected to partake in a storyline involving her former Damage CTRL teammates, Asuka and Kairi Sane.

Sources within WWE reportedly say the promotion has been careful about how often Asuka and Iyo interact in the ring on recent shows. The thinking behind that approach is said to be tied to current creative plans that would see the two square off in a singles match at WrestleMania.

At the same time, there has been some internal conversation about potentially changing the structure of the match. One idea under consideration would be turning the planned one-on-one encounter into a triple threat by including Kairi Sane in the bout.

Earlier reports have also suggested a potential fallout between Sane and Asuka, leading to a clash at the ‘Grandest Stage.’

The outlet also reports that Indie wrestler, Nikki Blackheart, has signed with the WWE. Blackheart participated in the February tryouts and will report to the Performance Center soon.

A report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful’s Fightful Select indicates that WWE remains in talks with Jelly Roll about a potential role at WrestleMania in Las Vegas.

The report also states that the Country star has made a positive impression behind the scenes, with sources praising his attitude and level of professionalism during his time working with the company.

Jelly Roll is scheduled to make a return on tonight’s SmackDown in Phoenix, Arizona. The appearance was confirmed last week by the Country star in a video promo. He announced that he will be live next week to see his tag team partner, Randy Orton, as well as Cody Rhodes. The Miz via X has also announced that Jelly Roll will appear on a special edition of the Miz TV this Friday.

Is Jelly Roll confirmed for WrestleMania 42?

No, per WrestleVotes Radio, WWE remains in talks with Jelly Roll about a potential role at WrestleMania in Las Vegas.

Who is Iyo Sky’s opponent for WrestleMania?

Per Bodyslam.net, Iyo Sky is expected to partake in a storyline involving her former Damage CTRL teammates, Asuka and Kairi Sane.
