WWE SmackDown returns this Friday, March 13, 2026, live from the Mortgage Matchup Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, and the road to WrestleMania 42 is heating up in a major way.
The blue brand is set to deliver a stacked night headlined by one of the most anticipated moments in recent memory, the WrestleMania contract signing between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and the Viper Randy Orton.
With both men set to collide on the grandest stage of them all, expect tensions to boil over before either man puts pen to paper.
Elsewhere on the card, Jade Cargill looks to make a statement in a non-title showdown against Michin, and fan-favorite Jelly Roll is set to make his return to SmackDown.

Jelly Roll returns
Continuing the build towards WrestleMania 42, WWE announced multiple matches and segments for next week’s show. American music icon, Jelly Roll, is set to return next week, as he announced in a video promo this week.
Jelly Roll announced that he will be live next week to see his tag team partner, Randy Orton, as well as Cody Rhodes.
WrestleMania contract signing between Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE title

Speaking of Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, the two are set to sign the contract for their WrestleMania main-event clash for the Undisputed title next week.
This will be their first meeting since Orton RKOd Cody to bag the win in the men’s Elimination Chamber match.
Jade Cargill vs Michin – Non-title match
Additionally, during a backstage segment this week, Michin confronted Jade Cargill, insisting she was still coming for her pound of flesh. Cargill asked why she had allowed Rhea Ripley to jump the line, and Michin explained that Ripley had earned it. Cargill then said she would see her this week.
WWE later officially announced the match between Jade Cargill and Michin, specifying that the WWE Women’s Championship would not be at stake, making it a non-title singles bout.
