Let’s discuss the latest rumors making the rounds among fans on social media!

Speculations and rumors are among some of the favorite pastimes for WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. In the aftermath of WrestleMania 41, the rumor mill continues to run in full force.

In today’s edition of the rumor roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including the Logan Paul-John Cena tag team, WrestleMania 42 location, Zoey Stark injury, and more.

Logan Paul-John Cena tag team

On May 22, reports surfaced that Travis Scott is slated to make his return at Money in the Bank on June 7. The initial report did not specify what role the hip-hop star would play at the event.

However, a further update from Mike Johnson of PWInsider revealed that there have been pitches made for Scott to team with John Cena either in a regular tag team match or a six-person tag team match. This would likely see Cody Rhodes on the opposing team.

Johnson further revealed that one idea pitched involved Cena teaming up with Travis Scott and Logan Paul to face off against Cody Rhodes, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso. However, it’s still unclear if WWE will move forward with this plan.

The pitch for a potential six man tag at MITB would have seen Logan Paul teaming with Cena and Scott, presumably against The Usos and Cody.   Whether WWE goes in that direction remains to be seen.

WrestleMania 42 date & location

After Wrestlenomics reported that, New Orleans will no longer host the 42nd edition of WrestleMania next year. NOLA.com reported that Las Vegas is expected to host WrestleMania in 2026, marking the second year in a row the city would hold the event. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, instrumental in securing the 2025 show, has not yet responded to a request for confirmation.

PWInsider Elite further reported the date on which the PLE will emanate after the location change. The report indicates that local sources believe the two-night event is now expected to be held on the weekend of April 18 and 19, 2025.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter further reports that sources in Las Vegas have confirmed that WWE has booked Allegiant Stadium for two days next year for WrestleMania 42.

Zoey Stark injury update & WWE World Collide

On the May 19 episode of Monday Night Raw, Zoey Stark locked horns against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane. However, it all went crumbling down for Zoey, who landed awkwardly on her leg while attempting a sniper missile drop kick on Sane. Stark’s leg folded the wrong way during landing, and she yelled out in pain as WWE officials and medical personnel rushed to check in.

Fightful Select now reports that the growing concern backstage in WWE is that Zoey Stark may have sustained a serious tear during her injury on Raw, potentially requiring surgery and keeping her out of action for the remainder of 2025.

According to WrestleVotes, the following AAA stars are expected to appear at WWE Worlds Collide: El Hijo del Vikingo, Psycho Clown, Laredo Kid, Octagon Jr., Pagano, Chik Tormenta, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana. Notably, Alberto Del Rio is not among the names listed.

Internal reaction to WrestleMania 42 location change

According to Fightful Select, many WWE employees and staff were initially “shocked” by the news of New Orleans no longer hosting WrestleMania 42. One talent pointed out that, with no new venue officially announced yet, this represents “one of the latest announcements for Mania in recent memory.”

Despite the surprise, most talent are “largely unfazed,” given that WWE typically handles travel and logistics for major event weeks. The current WWE leadership is described as “much more apt to waiting to announce any number of shows, and are open to changes if the revenue generated is a significant increase.”

However, the abrupt change has sparked “immediate frustration within the industry,” especially as sources revealed that WrestleCon had already finalized its venue contract in New Orleans for the 2026 event.
