Speculation and rumors are among the favorite pastimes of WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. In the aftermath of the Clash in Paris, the rumor mill continues to run in full force.
In today’s edition of the roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including Bronson Reed’s new contract, Tony D’Angelo’s absence, plans for Oba Femi moving forward and more.
Bronson Reed’s new contract

According to a recent report from Fightful Select, Bronson Reed has already re-signed with WWE on a multi-year deal. Reed has not only locked in his long-term spot with the company but has also positioned himself well for a potential new contract down the line.
“Even though time has already been ticking on the new deal, we’re told he’s worked himself to be in a position to get another new deal in the next year or so,” the report stated.
Reed is currently part of the faction known as The Vision, alongside World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Paul Heyman, and Becky Lynch.
Tony D’Angelo’s absence
Dave Meltzer confirmed in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that NXT star Tony D’Angelo is not injured, but has asked for some time off.
D’Angelo has been absent from NXT programming since shortly after his triple threat win over former D’Angelo Family members Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino in July.
More details on Andrade’s exit

Per Fightful, Andrade signed his new AEW contract within the past week, but creative plans for him had already been set before the deal was finalized.
According to an earlier report from PW Insider, he was released due to multiple wellness violations over the past year. WWE opted to let him go rather than pay him for another 90 days to prevent him from working elsewhere, so no non-compete clause was included.
The former WWE star made his return during the recent episode of AEW Dynamite, attacking Kenny Omega. He aligned himself with the ever-growing Don Callis Family.
Plans for Oba Femi after NXT No Mercy

Oba Femi recently suffered defeat in his NXT title defense against Ricky Saint at the 2025 edition of NXT No Mercy. Following the loss, many were speculating a main roster promotion for him; however, a new report points to his stay in NXT.
According to The Wrestling Observer, Oba Femi is “still in the plans for NXT going forward” following his title loss to Ricky Saints, suggesting that a main roster call-up isn’t happening just yet.
Nielsen’s new method for TV ratings
F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer called Nielsen’s new TV ratings system “a disaster for pro wrestling,” noting that “nobody has been hurt as badly as WWE and AEW.” He added that the overall value of pro wrestling on television appears to be taking “a very significant hit across the board.”
Until now, Nielsen TV ratings have primarily relied on the panel-only method, also known as Automatic Content Measurement (ACM). However, that system is being phased out during Q4 2025. Nielsen is now shifting to a new approach called Big Data + Panel, combining its traditional panel data with larger data sets to create a more comprehensive measurement system.
“Big Data + Panel National TV Measurement combines Nielsen’s unique, high-quality representative panel measurement with data from cable, satellite set-top boxes and smart TVs across 45 million households and 75 million devices.” as per pess release from Nielsen.
