The Wyatt Sicks (Joey Gacy, Erick Rowan, Uncle Howdy, Nikki Cross & Dexter Lumis) were among the WWE departures on April 24, 2026. Since their exit, the talents have become free agents, and we now have an update on their future.
According to Rick Ucchino of The Takedown on SI, TNA is very interested in signing multiple members of the group, though no one has officially signed with the company.
“The Takedown on SI has learned that TNA Wrestling has expressed serious interest in bringing in multiple members of the Wyatt Sicks, but we have not been able to confirm at this time whether a deal has been reached with any of the five former WWE Superstars.
It’s also not clear which members specifically are in play for a potential debut with the company, but some combination of Taylor Rotunda, Joseph Sawyer, Samuel Shaw, and Erick Redbeard, formerly known as Uncle Howdy, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis and Erick Rowan, respectively, would provide an instant boost to the TNA tag team division.”
Notably, the report does not reveal which former Wyatt Sicks members TNA is targeting, and there has been no confirmation that the company has reached a deal with any of them.
Praise for Penta
Penta battled Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Title in the main event of September 14 edition of Raw in Mexico City. Despite an incredible showing, he came up short against the OTC who retained the title in his fourth title defense.
According to Lucha Libre Online, WWE officials backstage at Monday’s Raw were highly impressed by Penta’s performance in the World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns. The report added that the company views Penta as a potential major draw for the long term.
Drew McIntyre’s return
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp revealed during a Q&A that he recently spoke with Drew McIntyre at a show. While McIntyre did not provide a specific timeline for his WWE return, Sapp noted that the former World Champion told him that he misses wrestling and would have liked to be part of WWE’s recent South American tour.
McIntyre has been absent from WWE programming since losing to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned match at WrestleMania 42 in April.
In his absence, McIntyre has been busy with his acting career. Alongside the Highlander reboot, he also filmed a Russell Crowe-led movie called The Last Druid as well as a microdrama produced through WWE’s partnership with ReelShort.
An earlier report from Insider noted that McIntyre has returned to the United States after completing the outside commitments that kept him away in recent months, including film projects and other WWE-related work.
