According to a report from Fightful Select, the internal response to AJ Lee’s return match at Wrestlepalooza was overwhelmingly positive, with everyone impressed by her performance. There’s also been a lot of praise for Becky Lynch, who played a key role in guiding Lee through the match and helping make her return so successful.

AJ Lee teamed up with his husband, CM Punk, to take on Becky Lynch and her husband, Seth Rollins, in a mixed-tag team match at the Wrestlepalooza PLE. Lee and Punk emerged victorious in the clash.

Cancelled plans for Wyatt Sicks

According to BodySlam.net, the promotion initially planned a storyline between the Wyatt Sicks and Solo Sikoa’s MFT, but creative shifted when Sami Zayn moved to SmackDown and won the United States Championship.

The Wyatt Sicks consists of Uncle Howdy (Bo Dallas), Nikki Cross, Erik Rowan, WWE Tag Team Champions Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis. On the other hand, the MFT consists of Solo Sikoa, Talla Tonga, JC Mateo, and Tonga Loa.

“There was a plan for an MFT vs. Wyatt Sicks feud to begin. However, plans seemed to have changed for now. With Sami Zayn moving to SmackDown, and holding the U.S. Championship, there was a shifting of creative for the MFT.”

According to WrestleVotes, the promotion has been in conversation with “a major food and beverage company” for a sponsorship tied to El Grande Americano.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE has hope Shayna Baszler will take a coaching or producing role within the promotion, but “that is not in place at this point.” Baszler was released by the promotion in May 2025 after her contract was terminated early.
