Speculation and rumors are among the favorite pastimes of WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. In the aftermath of the Clash in Paris, the rumor mill continues to run in full force.
In today’s edition of the roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including John Cena vs AJ Styles, ESPN’s Wrestlepalooza review, Jazmyn Nyx rejecting the new contract, and more.
John Cena vs AJ Styles

According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, John Cena vs AJ Styles was “always planned” for the Crown Jewel PLE in Australia. AJ’s recent worked shoot promo during a Raw commercial break, where he voiced his frustration with WWE, was part of the effort to build hype for the match.
“This match was always scheduled for Australia — always. So the whole deal about Cena and AJ, you know, the idea that Cena was doing the tribute to him because he wasn’t going to get to wrestle him. That was actually to build to this match, that was not actually ever the case.”
Meltzer mentioned that when Cena paid tribute to Styles, acknowledging they wouldn’t face off before his retirement, it was all part of a carefully planned storyline leading to the eventual match.
John Cena’s retirement match details

WWE may officially announce the details of John Cena‘s retirement match this weekend, including the date of his final match, possibly as soon as Sunday. There are currently five appearances left on his farewell tour, with his clash against AJ Styles being his next appearance.
The outlet has earlier reported that Cena’s final match is set for December 13th at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., during a WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
ESPN’s Wrestlepalooza review

The inaugural edition of Wrestlepalooza emanated on September 20, 2025, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, and ushered in the new era of WWE PLEs on ESPN. However, following the PLE, ESPN published a review that graded the show a “C,” calling it a disappointment for a debut premium live event.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, many within WWE were shocked and puzzled by ESPN’s rating of Wrestlepalooza. They believed the show was on par with other PLEs and couldn’t understand why ESPN would risk the “online stigma” associated with such a review for its debut on the network.
Jazmyn Nyx’s exit & update on Masha Slamovich
Jazmyn Nyx confirmed her departure from WWE following this week’s NXT after deciding not to re-sign. She was removed from Fatal Influence and written off television during Tuesday’s NXT episode.
Nyx opened up about her decision to quit WWE on her Snapchat, stating that, “Ultimately it came down to the work I was putting in and being booked for was not accurate with the amount I was being offered. And no I was not making 6 figures but that is the goal.
Not specifically my injuries, but the wear and tear that the job had on my body was one of the reasons. I was wrestling for both TNA and NXT every Tuesday and on the weekends without a day off.”
Fightful Select has now reported that Jazmyn turned down a WWE contract offer worth $75,000 per year, the same amount she was already earning.
Fightful also reported that there is a pitch for Matt and Jeff Hardy to join the current angle of TNA invading NXT. The entire TNA locker room invaded NXT during this week’s final moments to kick off a major brawl between the two brands.
Per PW Insider, following this week’s domestic abuse allegation, TNA has pulled Masha Slamovich from its Impact tapings scheduled for this weekend after Victory Road. Slamovich was also scheduled to battle Ash By Elegance for the TNA Knockouts World title, the match was pulled from the card.
Per an earlier report from Jon Alba of SI, TNA has launched an internal investigation following allegations of domestic violence that surfaced against former Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich. Slamovich has been accused of domestic violence by her former partner, AKIRA.
The allegations came to light on Tuesday morning after a friend of AKIRA shared numerous screenshots and images on social media, allegedly showing conversations between Slamovich and AKIRA.
