CM Punk’s Worlds Collide appearance

According to a report from Fightful Select, CM Punk’s involvement at Worlds Collide in Chicago was discussed from very early on in the planning stages of the event.
Punk teamed up with Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano to take on Dominik Mysterio, Omos, and JD McDonagh in the main event of the show. Worlds Collide concluded at the Allstate Arena in Chicago on Saturday and will air on tape delay on YouTube this Wednesday.

According to Fightful Select, WWE chose not to broadcast Worlds Collide live in an effort to affect AEW All Out ticket sales in the Chicago area.
WWE sources acknowledged that AEW’s ticket sales exceeded expectations, although they remained pleased with Worlds Collide’s own sales. The decision to keep Worlds Collide off a live broadcast was made in early August.
NXT goes head-to-head with AEW Grand Slam Paris
WWE NXT goes head-to-head with AEW Dynamite next month as AEW Grand Slam Paris: Dynamite is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, putting it directly opposite NXT’s weekly show.
According to WON’s Bryan Alvarez, the developmental brand is expected to feature at least one “big main roster name” on the show.
“It is also presumed NXT will have at least one big main roster name when it goes head-to-head with Tuesday Dynamite.”
Bobby Roode & Drake Maverick’s status
A few days ago, Roode and Titus O’Neil were both moved to the WWE Alumni section on the promotion’s website.
Per Fightful Select, Bobby Roode’s move to the Alumni section of the company’s website does not mean he has left the company. According to the report, Roode remains employed in a backstage role as a producer. Roode stepped away from in-ring competition following neck fusion surgery in September 2022.
Rockstar Spud, also known as Drake Maverick, was another name fans had questions about following his recent return to in-ring competition at PROGRESS Wrestling. According to Fightful, Maverick is still with WWE and was credited as a writer for several segments on this past Monday edition of Raw.
Becky Lynch is once again a babyface
Since her return, Becky Lynch has been in a three-way storyline with current Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer and former Champion Liv Morgan. Lynch was the special guest referee for the title match in Chile, where Vaquer pinned Morgan to reclaim the title.
Lynch is now advocating for a title shot, noting that her help resulted in Vaquer’s win, while Morgan is looking to reclaim the title and is asking for a rematch. Fans are now speculating about a three-way clash for the title.
On that note, PWInsider Elite reports that Lynch is now listed as a babyface on Monday Night Raw’s internal roster.
