Plans for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia

According to Fightful Select, the promotion could announce the date for WrestleMania 43 around the time of Crown Jewel in Riyadh on November 7, unless the announcement comes earlier.
The report added that plans to hold WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia potentially have contributed to the delayed announcement. Representatives from Saudi Arabia have also recently visited WWE headquarters for initial planning meetings.
The 43rd edition of WrestleMania in 2027 will take place as a two-night spectacle in April 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The event will mark the first WrestleMania to take place outside North America and only the third edition held outside the United States. The previous two international shows were WrestleMania VI and WrestleMania X8, both staged in Canada in 1990 and 2002, respectively.
Worlds Collide broadcast plan
According to WON’s Bryan Alvarez, the promotion had considered moving the telecast of Worlds Collide to avoid going head-to-head with AEW’s Dynamite tribute show for PAC.
However, the event now appears set to proceed as originally scheduled. Alvarez also noted that there seems to be little agreement within the company over how the situation should be handled.
The event, which was pre-taped on Saturday at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, will air tonight (Wednesday) at 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT on AAA and WWE’s YouTube channel. The event went head-to-head with AEW All Out which also emanated from Chicago.
WWE counterprogramming AEW
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer suggested that WWE’s objective with counterprogramming AEW may be more than simply competing for viewers on a particular night.
He argued that repeatedly scheduling events and PLEs against AEW could gradually impact Dynamite’s television audience and potentially become a consideration when AEW enters its next media-rights negotiations.
Meltzer does not believe Worlds Collide by itself would significantly affect AEW’s ratings. However, he noted that WWE scheduling its programming to directly overlap with AEW could have a greater impact if the strategy continues over an extended period.
When and where will WrestleMania 43 take place?
WrestleMania 43 will take place as a two-night spectacle in April 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The promotion has not announced the dates for the PLE yet.
When and where will Worlds Collide 2026 air?
The show will air on tape delay on Wednesday at 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT on WWE and AAA’s YouTube.
