Let’s discuss the latest rumors making the rounds among fans on social media!

Speculations and rumors are among some of the favorite pastimes for WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. In the aftermath of WWE Clash in Paris 2025, the rumor mill continues to run in full force.

In today’s edition of the Rumor Roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including WWE Draft update, China having a WWE PLE, and more.

WWE Draft update

Bodyslam.net’s Patreon reports that talk of a WWE Draft has “gone quiet” inside the company. The outlet previously noted that WWE was eyeing a Draft for this period, but those plans now appear to be shelved.

Instead of a large-scale shake-up, the company is expected to make smaller adjustments to the roster as needed. Recent moves, such as LA Knight heading to Raw and Sami Zayn shifting to SmackDown, will serve as the model going forward.

While a Draft could return in the future, for now, WWE seems content to make individual trades rather than overhaul the rosters.

WWE is reportedly targeting a major return to the Chinese market, with internal discussions pointing toward a potential Premium Live Event in Hong Kong.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp revealed that “numerous people of influence within WWE” have advocated for the company to host a major show in China, with Hong Kong specifically mentioned as a possible destination.

If finalized, the move would mark a strategic shift from WWE’s previous focus on mainland cities such as Shanghai and Shenzhen. While no official announcement has been made, the discussions suggest WWE is actively exploring significant expansion in the region.

Scrapped Karrion Kross plans

Former WWE Superstar Karrion Kross recently revealed in an interview with Denise Salcedo that major creative plans for him after SummerSlam were abruptly scrapped. According to Kross, the storyline was pulled the day before it was set to unfold on Monday Night RAW.

“The creative we were supposed to have got killed on Sunday. It involved other people,” he explained. While he declined to share specifics, Kross teased it was “something really big” that fans would have enjoyed. Out of respect for those still involved, he held back details but suggested the idea could still be revived in the future.

Is WWE still planning to hold a Draft in 2025?

No, current reports suggest that talk of a WWE Draft has “gone quiet.” Instead of a formal Draft, WWE is managing roster moves through direct swaps, like the recent trade of LA Knight and Sami Zayn.

Will WWE host a Premium Live Event in China?

Yes, there are internal discussions about expanding back into the Chinese market. Hong Kong has been specifically mentioned as a potential host city for a future WWE Premium Live Event, signaling a strategic shift from past events in mainland China.

What happened to Karrion Kross’ post-SummerSlam creative plans?

Karrion Kross revealed that his major creative storyline was canceled just one day before it was set to unfold on RAW. He described it as “something really big” involving other talent. While he avoided giving full details, Kross suggested the concept might still be used in the future.
