In today’s edition of the rumor roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including John Cena’s schedule, Wyatt Family story coming soon to WWE 2K25, update on Shayna Baszler, Evolution 2, and much more.
John Cena’s schedule

According to njdotcom, John Cena is out in New Jersey to film his upcoming Netflix movie ‘Little Brother.’ The 17-time World Champion is currently scheduled for one TV appearance this month. As per WWE.com, John Cena is currently being advertised for the July 18, 2025, episode.
In his last outing, Cena defeated CM Punk in the main event of Night of Champions to retain the Undisputed title. He is now set to battle Cody Rhodes in a rematch at SummerSlam 2025.
Wyatt Family story coming soon to WWE 2K25
Fightful Select has reported that a source from 2K has informed them that WWE 2K25 will soon introduce a Wyatt Family storyline, which will include “a lot of unused Bray Wyatt content” as well as complete videos featuring Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy.
The report further adds the source, describing it as “a very deep story” and expressing confidence that it “will get people emotional.”
Update on Shayna Baszler
According to a new report from Cory Hays, Shayna Baszler was listed as a producer for the Kelani Jordan vs Lainey Reid match on the June 8 episode of Tuesday Night NXT.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Baszler has been helping out but has not signed on as a full-time agent.
“The story on Shayna Baszler is this: she’s got another month. I think the date is August 2 when her 90 days is up, so she can’t wrestle anywhere until August 2. It came out that she was one of the agents for, I believe, the Kelani Jordan match, and the story was made out to be bigger than it was.
She has been at NXT tapings. She has agented other matches, but this is the first one to come out. It’s not like she’s taken a job as an agent. She is doing it since she’s around and they’ve asked her.”
Baszler was released from her WWE contract in May, ending her eight-year tenure with the company and effectively disbanding the Pure Fusion Collective faction, which consisted of Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark and Baszler.
Evolution 2 & Halloween Horror Nights
PW Insider has reported that Alundra Blayze and Jazz are both scheduled to be at Evolution 2 this Sunday. However, it’s unclear exactly what they’ll be there to do. The second edition of the all-women’s PLE is set for Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Fightful Select reports that WWE is set to be fully integrated into this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando. An official announcement is anticipated shortly as per the outlet.
Additionally, Tyler Bate recently claimed via his Instagram account that he’s not injured and is just waiting to be used by WWE.
