AJ Styles & Dragon Lee went head-to-head against a new-gen tag team!

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event continued its fast-paced night with a breathtaking WWE Men’s World Tag Team Championship clash, as AJ Styles and Dragon Lee defended against the fearless duo of Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater. The match was a nonstop sprint, blending aerial risks, crisp teamwork, and split-second counters.

From the opening bell, it was clear this would be chaos. Slater and Evans exploded out of the gates with a Superkick Party, instantly rocking the champions and setting a frantic tone that never let up.

Challengers set the pace with relentless offense

Je’Von Evans wasted no time, diving onto Styles on the floor while Leon Slater squared off with Dragon Lee. Slater drove Lee into the corner, followed by a daring dive and a big crossbody back inside. Evans tagged in and soared off the top with a frog splash for a quick two-count.

Quick tags allowed Evans and Slater to isolate Dragon Lee, wearing him down with speed and precision. Just as the challengers seemed in control, Lee sidestepped Slater and sent him crashing shoulder-first into the ring post, creating the opening the champions desperately needed.

Lee followed by sending Evans to the floor and nearly stealing a cover, but Slater recovered just in time. Dragon responded by climbing all over him and planting Leon with a devastating Liger Bomb, finally tagging in AJ Styles.

AJ Styles and Dragon Lee close the door in spectacular fashion

AJ Styles stormed in, dropping Evans with the Styles Rush and a sliding lariat. Je’Von scrambled to the corner, only to eat another lariat and an Ushigoroshi. Slater tried to turn the tide, landing a right hand on Styles, but chaos spilled to the floor.

An Asai moonsault missed, allowing AJ to pounce Evans into the barricade. Dragon Lee followed with a suicide Frankensteiner, while back inside, Evans landed an OG Cutter and dragged Styles into the corner for Slater’s 450 splash, only for Dragon Lee to break it up at the last second.

The closing moments were frantic. Lee wiped out Evans with a tope con giro, while Slater nearly capitalized after blocking a Styles Clash with his footwork. A slip on a springboard almost cost Styles everything, but experience prevailed. Styles countered a missile dropkick with a powerbomb, kept hold of Slater, and finally connected with a thunderous Styles Clash.

AJ Styles and Dragon Lee scored the pinfall on Leon Slater, retaining the WWE Men’s World Tag Team Championship in a match that showcased the future and present colliding at full speed.
