Sol Ruca shocks Becky Lynch with an impressive showing before a controversial finish.
Sol Ruca arrived for one of the biggest matches of her young WWE career against Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Ruca made it clear before the match that she was not intimidated by “The Man.” During a backstage interview, the rising star repeatedly referenced “snatching” opportunities, a direct nod to her devastating Sol Snatcher finishing move.
Lynch, meanwhile, dismissed the challenge entirely and insisted Ruca was nowhere near ready for her level. The champion’s confidence quickly turned into frustration once the match officially got underway.

Before the opening bell, Lynch tried to throw Ruca off mentally by tossing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship belt directly at her challenger. Lynch then immediately turned her attention toward the referee, loudly complaining about what she believed would be “fast counting.”
Once the bell rang, however, Ruca instantly took control of the action. The high-flying star connected with a spinning face slam before following it up with a smooth springboard crossbody that caught Lynch completely off guard.
Ruca’s athleticism overwhelmed the veteran champion in the early moments of the contest. Every attempt by Lynch to slow the pace or regain control was countered by the confident newcomer, who continued to push the action at full speed.
The momentum became so one-sided that Lynch was forced to roll out of the ring entirely just to regroup and collect herself while Ruca soaked in the crowd reaction.
Becky Lynch causes a disqualification to escape defeat
Ruca kept the pressure on by launching herself off the apron in what could only be described as the “surfiest” attack of the night. She quickly threw Lynch back into the ring and looked ready to secure the biggest victory of her WWE career.
Lynch attempted to shift momentum with her usual veteran tricks, but Ruca countered nearly everything thrown her way. The challenger then climbed to the top rope and prepared to deliver a spectacular Sol Snatcher that had the crowd on its feet.
Sensing danger, Lynch resorted to desperation tactics. As Ruca launched herself forward for the Sol Snatcher, Lynch yanked the referee directly into the path of the move, forcing the official to immediately call for the disqualification.
The controversial ending allowed Lynch to escape without being pinned, but the performance from Sol Ruca may have stolen the spotlight from the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
After the finish, as Ruca was checking on the referee, Becky stepped back in the ring to attack Ruca, delivering back-to-back manhandle slams.
