WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event delivered chaos, hard-hitting action and a controversial finish as Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins overcame CM Punk and Sami Zayn in a high-stakes tag team clash.
The match erupted into mayhem before the opening bell. Sami Zayn cleared the ring of Seth Rollins and, alongside CM Punk, double-teamed Bron Breakker, sending the powerhouse crashing to the outside.
After a brief reset, the bell officially rang with Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins starting things off. The action quickly spilled to ringside again when Breakker launched himself through the ropes, tackling Zayn over the announce desk.
Back from commercial, Breakker planted Sami with a stalling vertical suplex and taunted CM Punk with arrogant push-ups.
Rollins tagged in to continue the assault, but Zayn managed to create separation and made the hot tag to Punk. The crowd erupted as Punk ran wild with back elbows, a leg lariat, and a big Macho Man-style elbow drop, which got a close two-count.
Punk looked to finish Rollins with the GTS, but Breakker yanked him off and narrowly avoided a strike. Rollins capitalized with a Pedigree, but Zayn broke up the pin just in time. Sami then took out Breakker on the outside with a spectacular Arabian press moonsault, sending us into the second commercial.
After the break, all four men were down after a brutal double lariat exchange between Punk and Rollins. Zayn and Breakker were legal, and Sami gained the upper hand with a tornado DDT. Just when it looked like the Underdog from the Underground had things in control, Paul Heyman interfered, tripping Zayn up from ringside.
In the chaos, CM Punk was blindsided. “Big” Bronson Reed appeared out of nowhere, leaping the barricade to pounce Punk straight through the barricade! Zayn, stunned by the interference, turned right into a devastating spear from Breakker.
Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins picked up the win via pinfall, thanks to timely interference and a brutal closing sequence. With Heyman pulling strings and Bronson Reed now seemingly in the mix, Punk and Zayn’s path just got a lot more dangerous.
Winners: Bron Breakker & Seth Rollins
