There is a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion in town!

CM Punk is back on top of WWE. In a gripping main event at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the Best in the World defeated Jey Uso to capture the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The match delivered everything fans hoped for intensity, emotion, and a showcase of two men fighting with everything to prove.

The opening minutes saw both superstars test each other’s patience and composure. They traded holds, counters, and bursts of aggression, neither giving an inch.

CM Punk showed early control with sharp strikes and technical precision, while Uso leaned on his raw athleticism and explosive counters. Every exchange had the crowd roaring, sensing the gravity of what was at stake.

Jey Uso pushes CM Punk to the limit

Jey Uso, coming off one of the best singles runs of his career, looked every bit the main-event player. He absorbed everything Punk threw at him the elbows, neckbreakers, and even a near-perfect superplex. Uso fought back with a flurry of superkicks, a spear through the barricade, and his signature splash off the top rope that almost sealed the win.

The momentum shifted multiple times as both men countered each other’s finishing moves. Punk’s first attempt at the Go to Sleep saw Jey tumble to the floor, barely escaping disaster. Later, Uso stunned the crowd by hitting Punk’s own finisher, a GTS, before nearly ending it with another splash. The crowd inside the arena was split, chanting for both superstars as they emptied the tank.

CM Punk reclaims his place at the top

In the final moments, Punk survived a relentless barrage from Uso and countered a sleeper hold into the Anaconda Vise. Jey fought free, landing a superkick, but ran straight into another Go to Sleep. This time, it connected clean, and Punk collapsed on top of Uso for the decisive three-count.

After the match, CM Punk sat cross-legged in the center of the ring, clutching the World Heavyweight Championship as confetti rained down. For the first time in over a decade, the Best in the World once again stood as WWE’s world champion, a fitting culmination to his long journey back to the top.

Winner: CM Punk via pinfall
